Civilization VII Screenshots Thread (Funny, Strange, etc.)

Which map are you playing on? I've been playing on the new continents and islands map and been struggling to get many, as by the time i have shipbuilding the AI has settled large areas of that land mass. I've not seen anywhere near that many though.

That's on the new Continents and Islands map, so not sure what's going on with your luck! It's a Large map, maybe that makes a difference here?

Weird, i'm playing on a large map also.
I play on immortal with the default settings but only 6 players.

I guess i could have transported the civilian units one at a time with an army commander, i'd forgotten about that.
Civilian units (commanders, scouts and settlers) are able to cross oceans without shipbuilding... it's only military units that needs it.

EDIT: You do need cartography for civilian units though, whereas cogs can go right away from the start

That's slightly confusing.

Xerxes has decided to do something about it (poor Catherine has only her capital city remaining to cry).

Is this what they mean by "danger close"?
I'm not an expert, of course, but this does look like a typical "3.6 R - not great, not terrible" situation. I'd hazard, it might be worth reporting to the infirmary. Just in case this is some kind of a harmless delusion.

The combination of the Incan Chasqui and the Imago Mundi Memento is ridiculous! :goodjob:
They're probably trained in borrowing eyes of all the eagles in the region 😀
Poor modern air units that can only see 2/3ds of that distance.

There's also a bug - if you slot policy for increased scout sight and at the same turn do search with the scout, scout's default sight range is often increased even further, so you could gain something like this in antiquity without Inca (although unlike Inca, mountains will still block the sight)

A pile of jaguar corpses surrounds Tikal, patrolled by hungry dogs.

Wow that is some egregious forward-settling...

Uhh...Isabella, I don't want to be too critical of your strategic priorities. Especially since we are not exactly friends right now. But is this really the time and place to build the Colossus?

...Yes?...You really want to keep building it until it is finished? Nothing else matters?...Oh...well, thanks for the wonder I guess

(It took her several turns to finish it while the capital was one move away from being captured. Well, it did net her a point on the cultural legacy path...)
