Civilization3X has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I lauch the game and the resolution changes but then I get the message. I pretty confident that I will not be receiveing a message from Bill telling what the problem is but maybe someone on this can...


Resolution is set at 1280 x 800, and yes I have changed it to 1024x768 a few times but no solution.

Patch 1.29 has been installed.

KeepRes=1 has been added to PTW.INI as it was the only one I could find.

Patch 1.29f is for vanilla Civ3. The patch for PTW should be 1.27f. Conquests is 1.22 (with no "f" after it).

Which version are you playing? Did you buy a single version separately, or do you have Complete (all 3 versions)?

Vanilla should have a file named Civilization3.ini . PTW has a file named ptw.ini . Conquests has conquests.ini . If you have Complete, you should have all 3 .ini files.

It sounds some sort of patching mismatch.
