Just the uploader, I restarted it and all is well.

BTW : why is it that in the warlords game civstats the civs don't show?

I think its because civstats was designed for the vanilla civ and therefore it doesnt have the names of the new civs in its banks-that idea could be completly wrong though :)

That idea is completely correct. They won't be in until OverloadUT releases the CivStats version 2.0. Which is something everyone is waiting on. :)

bumping back to the first page with this post.

I'll be away after this turn-hopefully just for the one turn while i move into accomodation at uni and set up my connection but it could be more, just a warning to you all.

Also no declerations of war would be nice :)

And speaking of which, I probably won't get to my turn this time, unless the pitboss timer is even slower than I think it is. :(

I can't seem to connect, I keep timing out. Is this a problem on my end or the server's?

I've just connected to the game okay. :hmm:

Well, I connected to the Warlords game just fine and my firewall is disconnected, I can't really see what's going wrong.

I had no problems today !

:bump:

I have to appologise to all you guys because in the last week I missed 2 or 3 turns.

I had a busy schedule and forgot to take my turns. I must say that all I had planned was queued so no bad on that part.

Sorry to have made you wait for the full turn timer. :)

Oh no! What a shocker! I mean, it's not like I've seen you guys move around for the past ten turns. :mischief: Oh well...!

Well, I don't want to be left out of the fun....

Ok then...

I am NOT declaring war on the LAoD.

:D

Is Nome a city?

The Armies of BCLG dont look too favourably on uncultured peoples such as the cool who name their cities with unknown languages.

Nome is most definitely a city.

In February 1899, a group of men who had property and mining claims on the near present-day Nome agreed to change the name of the new mining camp from Nome to Anvil City, because of the confusion with Cape Nome, a point of land located twelve miles from the city and Nome Creek, four miles from Nome. Cape Nome had received its name from a copying error, when a British mapmaker copied an annotation from a map made by a British officer had made on a voyage up the Bering Strait. The officer had written "? Name" next to the unnamed cape. The mapmaker misread the annotation as "C. Nome", or Cape Nome, and used that name on his map. The United States Post Office in Nome refused to change its name to Anvil City and the residents of Anvil City were afraid that the post office would move to Nome City, a mining camp on the Nome River. They voted and unhappily agreed to change the name of Anvil City back to Nome.

The name "Nome" may be of other origin. It is also possible that a mariner may have recalled the scenery around Nome, Norway when looking at the headland that came to be called "Cape Nome". The word "nome" has a variety of other usages, as denoting a type of political division in ancient Egypt. It also was use in the mid-1800's for an Indian reservation near Marysville, California (Nome Cult Farm).

You want a city name that's an excuse to invade, how about Tafkal? :p

Due to this ever increasing violence in todays society the independant state of BCLG has decided to reassure its lovely citizens by building the Chichen itza. Sages say it shall give them protection for years to come.
