Civs actually using Communism!

Playing as the Russians (under the thumb of "Uncle Joe"), I, oddly enough, did not play as a Communist country but a Democracy.

However, around the 1860's, the government of the Iroquois actually transformed to a Communist country after a swift defeat of the Iroquois navy and coastal cities. My KGB agents detected that the Iroquois did not have many luxuries, and were at wars with the other two nations, Egypt and China.

I moved my troops out of Iroquois territory, and gave them a swift taste of my nuclear monopoly.

I played at Chieftain...just in a mood for a quick military-oriented game, ironically, I won through the cultural improvements

When AI is having a long war it will change to communism.
I have seen it happen all the way to emperor. ( I don´t know about deity because it is so frustrating to play early times. When you meet first other nation you are already behind over ten techs. )

I have seen a communist nation on Regent. If you realy want them to be commies then change there favorate form of government to it with the editor and put democracy as shunted government.

After communism is discovered all the civs will switch to Communism as soon as war weariness starts. People call it the self destructing AI. Many people's strategies on emperor and diety revolve around that the AI will collapse.

Basically keep up in techs and build and improve cities during Ancient and Middle Ages. Then wait for communism and start warring. The AI will switch to communsim and get killed by corrupting because of not enough Courthouses and police stations. They'll soon start running low on cash and have to force to disband units.

Yeh, i've seen it now, I'm at war with the indians (they broke an MPP), and they've switched to communism, looks like their allies, the Americans have too. They're dying big time. I think i'm ready to move up to monarch, really. maybe my previous monarch experiences were just unlucky. I'm about 7-8 techs ahead of them. I have modern armor, they don't.
