Speak with your wallet, boycott the game

PC game industry would not suffer permanent death. Simple economics would tell you that. If anything it would cause companies that warpstorm RECOMMENDED and urged people to buy more from like Shrapnel Games to THRIVE.

Not if they were afraid of being sued every time there was a bug in their games, I'd stop working on them. I love the indie games but they tend to be either non-ambitious or ambitious and buggy. I love them not because they are bug free, but rather because they are original. I'd hate for them to end.

As you may well know, Shrapnel Games is FAMOUS for supporting their games with patches. People PRAISE Shrapnel Games for their committment to their customers. No one would ever DREAM of suing a company like that, that actually cares about their work, sees their work as an actual art or human endeavor, and cares about their customers, as opposed to a company that is greedy.

I want to sue Shrapnel Games already! [pissed]

OK folks, relax a bit. It's a game, fer cryin' out loud.

Oh please. The classical "class action lawsuit" threat. This happens every single time a game is released. Someone gets their panties in a twist over something and issues this threat as if it meant anything.

I dont' know if anyone has noticed. Mr. Managlese or whomever, posted about 6 pages ago that he got his game working and is now playing it. Saying someone else would have to take up the fight. Well fight done, get playing, or get wishing you had the game
that is all

In a world where a lady spills coffee on herself and sues McDonald's for getting burned and wins, sueing a company for selling a faulty product has no chance?

Like I said before, read the facts of the case, not what the popular media is feeding people. There was a lot to the case that wasn't reported in the news because it wouldn't have grabbed headlines.

First of all i want to praise, MrManganese for the post.
Most people are such "victims" in society and never stand up for themselves.
Oh here we go... We are such "victims" of society. We are being victimised by every single company, and entity on the planet . A load of BS. You were never FORCED to buy this game and you can always return it. It was your choice to buy the game once it was first released so live with your decision. Dont blame everyone else. You could've waiting until the initial bugs/problems were ironed out and then bought the game.

The games industry has been exploiting people for years.
Once again, another load of BS. The only company exploiting their employees has been proven to be EA. No other company has been proven to exploit employees or the public. If you dont like the games industry, dont support it. Go outside and play a sport; oh let me guess, the local sports teams exploit people too?

The price of the games, the lies about the specs required and many more.
If you dont like PC gaming, buy a console or see my last point. That way you wont have to worry about the ever-changing landscape that are PC's. You'll know as long as you have the console the game supports, then it will work. By the way, I dont know if it is the same the world over, but in Australia, most console games are actually more expensive that their PC counterparts.

Secondly im suprised the mods allowed this thread. I saw the threat by Civrules not to talk about a crack.

This thread has nothing to do with cracks (which are illegal). This is just purely a discussion - nothing illegal is being mentioned here.

Are they being paid by the makers of the game? As a result i thought they would not allow a post like this.

No. They are not. There are some people that were beta-testing Civ4 however as far as I know, they did it out of their own time (and money).

You must be American!!!!!

You are crazy if you think it would win!:crazyeye:

More correctly, an American Plaintiff's attorney.

I guess all of those exposure cases aren't working out for you, eh Mr. Mang? :p

It's frivoless lawsuits like this that keep jacking up the price of games.
