while playing at monarch level,had closed borders after a settled war with AI japonese leader. The problem I experienced was that while I had no access to his territory , he had a knight freely roaming around in my territory. Nothing came of it but I did get annoyed , declared war and eliminated the knight still in my territory as I invaded japonese territory.
