Closed for Weekend, and Spell Check?

I have two questions to ask,

1 - What time (Approx.) will CFC be down for this weekend? I am under the impression that the vb 3.0 upgrade is occuring, I am just wondering if there is an estimate as to how long it shall take?

2 - Would it be possible to get a Spell Check for this Site? I mean for when typing your Post, it could check the spelling, grammar, etc. I would find this useful, since I like to make an attempt at typing things that make a bit of sense, usually. If it is possible to have a Spell Check put it, I would appreciate it if we could put one in

I coulda made two Threads out of this, but I didn't. Sheesh, I'm letting you Mods get off easy . . .

1. 12am. :p By my time since TF and I live in the same time zone, I live in red Sox Nation :) and he lives in the evil empire. :(

2. Ask Lefty for it back. :p Lefty loved it. Even started a thread about it. ALthrough I belive he made a spelling mistake on the title. :p ;):lol:

Edits don't count as Posts, right? If they do, it would explain a couple things . . .
 
We likley will not upgrade the forum this weekend. I doubt one day is enough to finish the upgrade process, and Sunday is my grandma's birthday so I will not have time to work on the forum that day.

I am not even sure about next weekend. My cousin gave birth to a baby girl recently and I'll be visiting her next Sunday.

Lots of family matters... :)

Right now it seems early May is more realistic for the upgrade.

Anyway, if the vB 3.0 upgrade is postponed, I will spend sometime this weekend to add some of the more useful features (such as the post # hack) back to the forum.

As for the spell checker feature, it's gone because the site that offered the service started charging money for it a long time ago.

Thunderfall claims he doesn't watch the Yankees. I'm an Orioles fan BTW. Atleast the Yankees lost and are in 4th place (sort of). :D

Anyway, TF said he might not do it this week, since he has other stuff to do.

@Zarn - I think he was referring to the (American) football team.

Exactly, but it should be optional, so you can turn it on/off . . .

There are times when I don't want to be running simultaneous Internet with CFC and WordPerfect, which has spell check!!! It must be a hack somewhere . . .
 
So don't spell check. When ever you make a mistake in spelling, just say your trying to invert a new word for intretnet slang. :p

Oh and BTW don't expect much help out of Lefty if you decide to presue this. He is limited to useless confusing rantings. And IMAO a little :crazyeye: (if you get my drift) :p ;)
 
I hope TF sees that, and gets it for us. I think it would be very useful . . .
 
It's a very old hack, and probably not a very good one since not many forums seem to use it. Only 280 people bothered to download it in 3 years...
 
Hmm . . . but does it work? If not, I might go to the vB Forums, and ask for one . . .

I think it would be useful, and might make some of the things that I say legible - ohh, the thought!
 
If this is the ask Thunderfall thread then could I ask (ask again) for my user name to be changed. (to Happy)
 
No I did that at another forum and kept the name when I came here. I even checked and there is no Happy here.
 
In that case, I shall make another login name to bar you from succeeding in your evil goal! (J/k by the way :p)
