Let's see what "diplomatic contact" they send us. If it's good, we can say we've met BAT in a future message. ?

as for tech, my team has said that though we are gong for BW we are going to consider not going for IW and trading at a later date

yeah, we are generally in favor of an alliance how about yours?

At the moment no, though eventually we will.

I believe the discussion has been towards the northwest.

okay, cause we are planning to expand southwards

We need to connect our trade networks so we can trade resources and gain commerce. Hopefully soon one of us can sail to the other.

yeah, were thinking of sailing and fishing after BW

By the looks of our map and Rishubhav’s words I’m guessing CBR is located down the land jutting out to our southeast. If this is correct and we met COG from the path to the southwest than that means there’s another path south of the pond. I didn't mention this as it appears they don't realize it.

Note they are currently building a settler, though I am unsure how soon until it’s completed.

Greetings Rishubhav, I hope things are well. We have completed Bronze Working and are almost finished with Sailing. Hopefully soon we can connect our two great empires!

How are things with COG? Have you completed your settler and established your second city yet? Last I heard you were just starting on Bronze Working, how is that going?

My apologies for going silent for a while, but my RL has been extremely hectic this past week. Please note that though I will continue with my duties as your ambassador, I have also taken up the responsibility of our Minister of Foreign Affairs. The incumbent croxis has decided to step down after presiding over an outstanding term. I plan to follow in his example during my term of office.

We're still working on bronze working, it should be done in a few turns.
Out settler is also going to come out in a few turns. We have also met
Elvis (EVO) and Zone is our designated ambassador. Also we have finally
got into contact with CivBrasil. Congratulations on your ascension to
Minister of Foreign Affairs. We look forward to prosperous trade once we
get the trade routes hooked up.

Things look good. We can obviously trade them ironworking for other techs - we should try and convince them to go for techs that BAT is not.

At this juncture we should inform BAT on our relations with COG. I am not yet sure if it would be wise at this time to suggest to them we establish our 3 team alliance. Getting them in contact would be difficult -- they would have to trust us with being the middle man. Also at this point we don't know how well COG plays, it would be a big gamble.

I suggest also for the next term that the forign minister and embassies remain in one thread - it might ake things busy but I see things becoming very interconnected that would require such.

A gamble not worth taking, in my opinion. Let BAT meet up with COG before we designate any third ally.

We should try and pursuade them to go for techs BAT isnt going for but i do agree we should let them meet BAT in their own time, however that isnt to say we shouldnt promote both sides to the other. IT seems the best idea to have these 2 as allies.

This can easily be done if this is what everyone prefers. When I create my Term 2 thread I can add a post for each of our opponents with their info in it. Is this how everyone prefers it?

Sounds like a good idea to me. The embassy threads could still be used to post pending deals.

I prefer the seperate threads for seperate teams, while alliances may become joined and things it does help if we're all sure we're talking about the same team.
