Coke or Pepsi?

I found I've been drinking less and less pop in the past few months.

But if I have a choice, I generally go with Pepsi.

Coke - Blech. I can handed the 'flavored' cokes, like Vanilla Coke and Cherry Coke. But I do draw the line at Lime Flavored Diet Coke.

Been drinking a lot of Orange Crush and IBC root beer. Also, when I can get it, Stewarts Ginger Beer. Ginger ale with attitude, I call it. I even found a place out here that sells Orange Crush in the 12oz bottles, just like I used to buy when I was a kid. I'd tell you, but then they'd sell out. Besides, you wouldn't believe me if I told you.

I prefer Coke over Pepsi because I find it has more bite.

In need of some legal speed? Try Jolt Cola. All the sugar and twice the caffine.

The best are...virgin cola and mecca cola!!;)

And Muslim-Up. Don't forget Muslim-Up. I bet the French arabs are all like. Look mom! I'm supporting Islamic Jihad!

Don't forget I come from a country where we succeed to find "incense", "wood", or even "banana" flavour in wine ;). Well, without doing any joke about it... next time you drink some coke or pepsi, take care of the taste and I'm sure you'll find citrus and fudge taste if you're careful about it. :)
I also detect notes of tamrind and sweet red pepper in coke. Perhaps it is because I taste food and wine for a living. Pepsi is syrupy sweet, coke balances sweetness and acidity and has nuances, somewhat like a Mosel riesling (but not nearly as complex).

Coke, preferably vanilla. Coke is more popular than pepsi over here.

Same here, and for the same reasons. Pepsi is definitely far too syrupy.

However, while I could not do without my daily coke can who gives me the energy to return to class after lunch, I'm not to the point fo drinking 1.5 L a day!

Hmmm, this thread made me desperate for a caffeine boost. I'm going to get a coffee since I already had my daily coke ;)

I don't drink soft drinks. Gotta think about the sugah! :)

I mostly drink water, sometimes milk and on occasion something with a li'l bit o' alcohol in it.. :)

I'm strongly against that Mecca Cola thing. To me, that silly beverage is a symbol of the sickness that has reached a part of the french population. It's simple, Mecca Cola looks like Coke, it tastes like coke, it has the colour of coke, it has the same sticker as coke but it supports Fundamentalism, a medieval ideology considering anything modern, like Coke, is evil.

That represents perfectly how lost are several kids from arab parents in this country. They love everything new, from the cell phone to the internet, but they hate anything coming from the Western World. They are actually looking for their own identity. They don't feel french and they don't feel algerian/moroccan/tunisian. That's the reason why they are so lost and they are jumping in all stupid clichés like Mecca Cola or "Palestine will prevail" to find some kind of their own identity.

Well, I don't want to talk about it in here since it's a proper french problem, a domestic issue. I don't consider we should talk about it in an international chat room.

I almost never drink sodas anymore (only time had coke and once Pepsi). 7-up or sprite are about the only two (though I used to drink Orange Slice occasionally).

I like Coke better, Pepsi tastes too sweet.

last week I tried Vanilla Coke the first time and it was disgusting.

Been drinking Diet Coke for years. I tend to choose one and stick to it for a long time. First was grape soda, then coke, then pepsi, then diet coke. Dr. Pepper was second choice always and I drink diet Dr. Pepper some now.

That covers 40 years or so.

I could never get into the whole diet soda thing. It just never tastes right. I have friends who made the switch, and to them, regular soda doesn't taste right anymore. I guess its an aquired taste.

I prefer Dr. Pepper, or Cream Soda before any of them, but I don't have a preference between Coke/Pepsi, they taste the same to me.

I only drink diet, and diet Pepsi tastes more like regular.

My all-time favorite is Diet Dr. Pepper. Tastes exactly like the real thing.
