Col of the month?

Hello all,

I've done a quick search but can't find anything on this topic (sorry if I missed it, please delete this thread if that's the case).

Basically I wanted to see if there was anyone else besides me interested in playing a Colonization 2 game of the month?

I understand there are a few problems with Col2 at the moment with a very quick way to win, but I am sure we could find a way around that to make the game fair.

Would it be possible? I ask because I enjoyed playing Civ3 for a while but it wasn't until I found this website and the game of the month competitions that I really had the inspiration to learn more about the deeper strategies and tactics that made me really appreciate the game

I assume the reason that there is no Col2 GOTM is that there is no Hall of Fame mod for Col2. Until there is a HOF mod available to ensure that all players are playing the game fairly, there will not be a Col2 GOTM. But I am sure that the GOTM staff may have something additional to say about this.

That's a fair statement, coupled with the current volume of work with approximately five new games per month to create and manage.

We would also need someone on the staff to know something about Colonization, and to assess whether it would work as a ColotM

Hmm ... ColoTM sounds like some very unpleasant gastrointestinal procedure ...

I was thinking we should devise some Pitboss Game of the Year (month is not enough) competition, until I realised what the acronym might be ... POTY!
