This mod rocks, only problem that it isnt completed

I've been thinking about completing it. Here is a problem I listed awhile back, but never got a response to:

I already have the player setup screens done, however I ran into a problem with the Pick Your Civilization Screen. The area for the Civilization Pictures has magic pink behind it ( that magenta color some call it ), and whenever I move my mouse across the screen, the Civ picture flickers. It's pretty annoying. I've tried all my tricks to stop it from flickering to no avail. I believe it has something to do with how I am saving the palette, but am not sure. If you or anyone else has a solution for this please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

How hard is it to make an interface like this?

It wasn't that hard to make it. It was more time consuming than anything else. I put alot of hours into it.

If you were to make a wooden plank one, like the side of a wooden building or a wooden ship, how long would it take and would it work?

Yes, you could make one that looked like that. It would take you some time. I put about 40 hours in colors n chrome. But I tend to be a perfectionist, so I spend time redoing it over and over. :crazyeye:

Thunderfall, please put a download counter on my download link. For all I know only 3 people have downloaded it. :D

Here is one more nice thing I want to say, I think it is way better than the standard CIV interface.

Nice work.
:)

Post your civ-selection screen, and I will look at the pallette.

I totally agree. This interface is WAY better than the original civ3 interface! Great job Telgar! :goodjob:

I hope that you can finish the mod, so we can get rid off the annoying civ3 interface finally! :D

PS. I voted 5 stars for this mod! :king:

GIDUSTIN: Post your civ-selection screen, and I will look at the pallette.

Well first of all let me say thank you for offering to take a look at the Civ Select Screen. I really do appreciate your help and hope that you can figure it out. Ok here is the playersetup.pcx file:

For those who want to view the Civ select screen, heres a screenshot:

By the way, I said I had the civ select and the world select screens done and I did. However, I forgot my PC motherboard recently bit the dust, and I had reformatted without being able to save those files. To make a long story short, I redid the player setup screen because GIDUSTIN was kind enough to help with it. I would have posted the world select screen too, but of course its a goner. :)

Balrog: PS. I voted 5 stars for this mod!

Thanks Balrog, you da man! :) Really, Im glad you liked it. Thanks for the 5 stars. :)

By the way, your fantasy/medieval modpack is very nice looking. I checked out the screenshots and it looks really cool. I will have to download it and play it. Do you have to have the latest PTW patches to play it? Good work, It must have taken you a long time to do something like that. :goodjob:

Thx Telgar! :)

Hold on, dont download right now. I will repack the mod. Im adding new units, around 20 new techs, lots of icons etc.
Also I will delete 1-3 units. Ergo I must repack it.

I found a free fast host so maybe I will be able to upload the mod as 1 file instead of 15.....

v1.1 is coming very soon. [2-3 days]

PS. Yup you will need PTW with the latest patch to play the mod.
+ It was hard work to make this mod but it was worth of it! I never liked the modern era heeh.....

Is anyone else having trouble with the Civ Select files? Im pretty sure I posted the correct URL. I uploaded the files. I checked the Uploads3 folder and the files are there. What up wid dat?............:wallbash: .............:)

I havent tested it yet, but I am sure that it works.

Get it now, hot off the press:

Edit: Note: You will have to rename the file after downloading it for it to work properly (get rid of the "11" at the end)

Nice!

Telgar plz plz finish the mod! :D I cant wait for the full modpack hehe. :)

GIDustin: I havent tested it yet, but I am sure that it works

It works Great! :goodjob: Thank you so much for fixing it for me. I truly do appreciate you taking the time to get it working. Really, thanks for helping me out with it.

:)

Well thanks to GIDustin for help with a bothersome pallete problem and those of you who have expressed an interest, I am back to completing the mod! I now intend to fully complete this modpack. Here is a list of things I will be working on:

Popup Menus:
City View Screen:
Redoing the Firaxis brown center in all the Advisor screens: Actually I plan to redo other items on the Advisor screens too.
Victory Screens:
Civilopedia:
Other assorted items to complete the modpack:

I have finished redoing the Domestic Advisor screen, the worldsetup and civilization select (playersetup) screens. I am posting a zip file here with these additions for those who would like to have these items now. The size is 280 kbs. Get the zip file here:

Download Link:
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads3/Install_Graphics.zip

I have posted screenshots of the worldsetup, playersetup, and new revised Domestic Advisor Screen: View them here:

I plan to finish the Advisor Screens, City View Screen, and popup menus first. I will post these as their finished. I will then work on the Civilopedia and Victory Screens. I plan to repack the modpack after I finish all the new graphics and release it as a single zip file. Well maybe not a single zip because the upload limit is 3 megabytes. I will email Thunderfall, he helped me with posting a 4.5 megabyte file, perhaps he will post the revised mod as a single zip. If all else fails, I might just post it on a free webhost. We shall see. Thanks again to all of you who have expressed interest in this modpack. As you can see, your interest has prompted me to complete it. So keep up the good comments! :D Stay tuned to this channel for more updates. Telgar signing out.........:wavey: :)
