Shame you cant set the Speed/Victory conditions on that earthmap :( had a quick look at it but its all lua :(

I would change it all to xml but the author seems to be actively updating the mod, so would make it hard to keep this one up-to-date if i made too many changes like this.

I'll just go through the loading steps i use, maybe it will pinpoint the problem:

Browse mods
Activate CCTP Mod
Activate realnameearth mod
Back
Single Player
Custom Game
Select Real Name Earth
Load Mod
deselect the use real resource placement
Choose your civilization (i usually go English :lol:)
Press start game
Grab a coffee as it will take a while placing the random resources :)
 
"Press Start Game" Doesnt do anything(No matter what options I choose), just makes the click sound :)

Does the same even if its the only mod selected.

hmm, i guess this is a good time to ask if anyone else is having problems with the earth map?
 
Whoa, I see you changed the Tech Costs back to how they were Chrome, Version 7 of Epic Speed for CCTP is broken, you can fix this by simply downloading version 8 which I have just uploaded.

Sorry for the broken v7, I did not get to play till this morning :) (That dam TSL map(The original works just d/l it to see) took up my evening and I still can't get it to work)

I assume you have logging enabled? in config file activate:

; Enable the logging system
LoggingEnabled = 1

If you could then clear your log folder, then load up civ and try to load the earth map, then zip the log folder up and send it to me would be helpful :)
 
Ya I can do that, fortunatly though it works fine on my desktop pc, must be something with the laptop(like urm it been a patch behind) :D

aaaaaah good to see this mod *back* it was a good idea foe me to take some news again so that's mean we have call to power MOD back exxxxxxccceeeeelllllllent i must try it but before.... is that work with the french version of the game?
 
i just started playing this mod a few days ago and i thought i should tell you guys its really good.

ctp 2 used to be my fav civ but i think ur mod just beat it....

with civ 5 i felt like they penalized you too much if you wanted to build a large empire b/c of the happiness issue (especially early game), but i think u guys balanced that out much better, the gameplay overall feels much more balanced and satisfying.

keep up the good work :)

School are starting again, and because I will need to fully concentrate myself for school I will take a break from the project, I will continue to read the forums but I won't be able to do any work regarding Icons or Backgrounds or any other artwork.

I think the reason is that CCTP is just too big for the Mod Browser. The CCTP file has about 70MB and the limit on the Mod Browser is, I think, 10MB.

Hi love this mod, but don't like the small looking units, they look very tiny. So was wondering if there is a way to disable this feature.

Just to elaborate example like a unit of warriors in the normal game has 8 warriors the mod it's like 12 so everything looks very tiny.

Sorry if this bug has already been reported :
In the tech and policies tabs i have text bug. Some texts are replaced by TXT_KEY_... and ( more annoying ) in the policies tab, i can adopt policies but next i can't unlock "inside levels" ( don't know how to say that but i hope you see ^^ ) nothing appears inside each policy blocks.
I though that this bug was due to language ( was in french ) but turned it back to english and the bug remains ( with less TXT_KEY... bugs )

One of the quirks of CTP is that you need to remove all other mods from the mod folder as they interfere with CTP. Just because they appear de-activated in CIV, they still seem to confuse CTP so just remove all the folders apart from CTP from the MOD folder to be sure.

I think it would be good to get some more feedback on the unit size, personally I like the smaller size :)

So I've been enjoying the hell out of this mod for a good while, but something has been bothering me. The renaissance era machine gun providing close fire support. So I figured a renaissance era mortar being upgraded from the crossbow would make a little bit more sense, as they did have hand cannons mounted on a swivel at the time and even saw use in the civil war. Then the renaissance era could be upgraded to a mortar platoon, and then a modern mortar team or a mounted mortar system. It could work pretty well since mortars don't have the same range as dedicated heavy artillery.

Oh and for some reason the models for the panzer unit dissappeared and I had a crash to desktop when it got attacked. Might be fixed if I reinstall the mod though so just a heads up.

In any case, I can't tell ya'll how happy i was when I heard the community was picking this one back up and dusting it off. Got to have me my distant future eras. Kudos.
