Community Call to Power Project

Does anyone even build theatres and stadiums? At that stage I find I already have +7-800 happiness per turn, so paying top $$ to have even more happiness, becomes a complete waste of money, and I never do it.

Yeah i do, but mostly when i adopt pluralism (hf goes to culture). Otherwise is money never a problem in my late games, and i like it to see my people really happy. :lol:

BTW After some hours of playing CCTP (with epic 15), i would like to say i really enjoy the whole game.

At all who works on this mod keep up the great work.:goodjob:
 
Peps talk about art. I do this in my spare time. You can use art I make, but as a free lance artist hold rights to use anything I make for future use (i.e. the crown I drew in AI as a path).

That beings said here is a from scratch based on the colors you had a monarchy backdrop. I have no idea the size it is supposed to be, so I made it big. I'm sure you can size down. I promise no timeline, but this took me a few hours. I was thinking of adding a thrown to it too, but it is time consuming as I am drawing the vectors by hand. That way I can size and use later.

Anyway, here you go. If you like iconic looking anima backdrops:

The Images are 192x292 each, added the backgrounds used as attachements :)

Just one questions, haven't checked the forums for a long time and no longer play civ5 ( too busy playing mw3 and learning photoshop/dreamweaver), is the art I made already putted in game? Would be nice to know what happend with the art I made :)

Hey leeuw01, long time no see :). Unfortunately, none of the stuff you and nathanglevy produced has been added. I still have the art files and icons, but I have no idea how to put them in. If anyone does know please let me know. I really liked what you guys came up with, and I think it will add a nice touch to the mod :)

I have found the Promotions.xml file but im not sure where to copy it to in the CCTP folder. Does anybody know how i would go about this?
update: Copied promotions.xml into the CCTP units folder, havnt tested it yet so im not sure if i have to update mod info or anything.

Use Epic Speed Mod mod. Has that disabled :)

Well, if you succeed to add the new art send me en e-mail (ask chrome he has mine). Maybe If I get some spare time I could do some new artwork cause I really liked working with you guys :)
 
:confused: Encountered some bug, the panzership only cost 10 gold (with horems epicmod 16), when a frigatte cost about 6500 gold.
Also is the ai strong building the monoploy buildings, annexed some cities and wow:lol:
Suggestion add the CulturalCapitolMod and the pretty wonders (which are not included into CCTP) from this Forum.:cool:

I guess we will have to wait for chrome-rome to come back when he has time from college and then I can resume my normal task.

I have wised up greatly on my political/economic terms, so I should be much better at coming up with some policies.

Yeah I have a sneaking suspicion that my winter break will be spent working on this mod. :mischief: Unfortunately, the scope of this project seems too big for any one person. Already Decimatus, myself, and Fires have moved on, and Horem seems to be slowing down a little as well (stick in there man!!). What this needs is a team focused on one issue at a time. The other big mods have managed to stay alive due in part to the respective modders' skill and dedication, but largely because they have been able to observe steady progress.

What you and I put together was a major step in the right direction, but the problem is that, because the changes were never implemented, it felt as if no progress had been made. Hopefully some of our old contributors will return and will speed up the process of moving ideas from paper to game.

Indeed. I do not want this mod to die or slow down. When does your winter break start? I should also be off from college (most likely with tons of homework :D) in the Christmas period as well. We can hopefully get going on this again.

I thought of some minor changes for the Communism government:


Rename Nationalization to Public Ownership

Public Ownership: +100 production for Factories, and +75 food for Supermarkets.

Planned Economy: Construction and Purchase costs for units and buildings reduced by 10%.


I know you do not like percentages since they seemed to mess up, but I was wondering if the one for Planned Economy would work. If not, let me know and I will commit some brain-power to thinking of something else :crazyeye:
But yeah, I agree, the mod needs to be more organised. If only we could get our own sub-forum :rolleyes:
But I am sure we will manage. I am not sure where everyone is up to right now, but if we get ourselves together, we can pick one issue to work on, then do it. Since I am hopeless at modding, I will continue with what I do :cool:

If you two get back in the game, I would strongly suggest that you work with Horem in reimplementing the base unit back down to 1 (from 5). It was a good idea and I understand the reasoning for going to base 5 in the first place, however, overflow issues breaks the game in the future eras...
 
Well. First of all. i'm sry if this is a reapeted post. But i have one doubt i'm just startd to play this mod an my policies doesent work i think. I choose one and nothing happens. Any change at all. And my luxuries resources doesnt give me happyness. Do i have to conect then to my city as civ4?

very nice .i want to ask why the units are so close to each other .i like a lot that units are smaller and more than vannilia but especialy ships are so close to each other that they touch each other.u can see some very good material from red modpack.also a good idea is to put diplomatic bonnuses when two nations have same goverment so that we can make strong alliances and maybe world wars

but again i must say that it is the best mod i have ever played.
