Ok after downloading the latest version and looking for the error with the SV ( strategic view) i have so say wft!!!
mY DATABASE SAYS THIS:

I thought i will remove the first entries but nothing helps, i cleaned the cache but SV is not working at its should.
So what have you done, have you already tested this version? I know the swamp bug i pointed it since the release.
But if you could not see your units in SV this is a shame, sorry to say that but thats the truth keep up the work and please find your errors. I have tried over an hour to track the error but did not find him .Iam rage quit now and do other things.

No, there are only some troubles i think.
You can still play it.
I was just surprised by the amount of "errors" shown in the logfiles in the Database. :help:

When the expansion will be released, its will be a lot of work to overwork this superb mod.

@ Gilgamesch It may display alot of errors in that DB report, but, its most likely 1 error in each file, causeing the string of errors as its not loading up the xml file due to it been bugged to the point its broken the whole xml file(a Typo most likely).

@Drumheller101 TBH dude, I would use the work in progress version with my AssignStartingPlots.lua fix on page 48.

You could try adding a _ to the Greece WWII file(Units/NewUnits/GreeceWWII.xml) and see if that fixes the SV problem. I dont currently has CiV installed on this PC to have a mess around with the files to see whats up.

I'v played 300 turns or so and after that my autosave dont work, its loading but when the button "press to start" became clickable - all screen freezes

and also button "load game" missing in game menu at all! forces to exiting into main menu

I have tried the mod again, and I have to say the modifications to buildings and the modifications of monopoly is welcome. However there are by no means enough social policies. The first game I tried with the French I was producing far too much culture and ended up finishing the game because I did not activate the option to save the policy. Is there any plan to re-introduce some of the old policies, or perhaps to change for a similar set of policies as in the Vanilla?

This is true, as the monoploy system is undergowing revisions.

Well thats bound to happen, im suprised it even loaded tbh.

Thats intended, loading a game while your are "in game" with mods is very very buggy, hense its been disabled.

Got new super computer today: 6x3.2GhZ processor, 16GB ram, 240GB SSD, Geforce 680 GTX.

So I wanted to try putting some strain on it, with version 2.01 and bigger worlds mod. Doesn't work though

I lose on turn 1, guess I spawn without a settler or some such.

Mod works without bigger worlds...

Any ideas how I could make this work?

IIRC this mod does not work with bigger worlds mod. Don't know why, they simply don't mix.

Incompatibility with other mods that change or rely on AssignStartingPlots.lua is probably why "Bigger Worlds Mod" doesn't work. If you can provide a link to the mod, I can take a look and see if its fixable.

Edit:-

Found it on the in game database, indeed that is the issue, both mods edit AssignStartingPlots.lua. To get both to work, Bigger Worlds would have to be incorperated into CCTP.

Okay, taken a look at both files, first off Bigger Worlds mod is using an extreemly old AssignStartingPlots.lua it does not even have the Stone resource, which means its OLD. But, merging whats needed form bigger worlds was not such a big deal, now testing it

Well, this mod will continue with G&K asap. But i dont believe that fixing and tracking of actuell problems will be done(for the moment as well). Chrome Rome is still inactive and like he said CCTP will continue.
BTW when G&K will come out, its a good time to change the policies back to religion, maybe to alter all the new religions in G&K.

If i can help with anything, let my now it and i will gladly help

Sorry to hear you have problems, can you give us some more info please.
I mean, are you using other mods, is your game patched to the last update and what maps are you trying to play (not all maps can be played with this mod).

I just finished my first CCTP game (used it with Moaf's Cultural Capital). It was fun!

Thought I'd finish with a early modern cultural win (was only one policy ahead of Hiawatha; I hate cultural Hiawatha, because I can't pull it off), but I still wanted to see more of the tech tree. Then Utopia needed to take a million turns :lol:

I think making it harder to build was a nice touch

School's out (hurray) so I once again have time on my hands. In my absence I have been thinking about some things that I want to improve on; most are game play related, although a few are just general bux fixing.

One of the major problems is still the tech tree. I looked into the Visual Tech Tree by lemmy01 & CaptainBlinky, as that would have made this A LOT easier, but unfortunately it is not working with CCTP. I guess it will just be a lot of manual plug and chugs :/. That will be my first priority. Added in there will be the resolution of the Monopoly System; I don't remember if the version I am playing is the same one that is uploaded, but for me, the Monopoly buildings do not work. It will be a simple fix to get it going again.

Next I want to re-re-re-re-work the Policy System. My problem is that the AI often ignore the Governments and go straight for Ideologies (Imperialism due to synergies with early game expansion) or Systems. I was thinking about putting things back to a Civ3 type system, where the Government you select just gives bonuses to your Civ. Then, the Ideologies/Systems will act as extensions to the Government. For example, if I select Republic as my Government, then only the Ideologies/Systems compatible with that system will be selectable. If I switch later to Democracy, the policies I unlocked under Republic will still be beneficial if they are compatible with Democracy. The goal is to make the Governments the main focus. Governments will offer the bonuses that come when opening the branch. For this to work as I imagine it, there would be a new yield (Governance) that accumulates from buildings/wonders. Once you get enough, you can select a (new) Government. An easier method would be to make Government switching free (except for the anarchy turns). Dunno which route I want to take yet.

Here are my plans for CCTP per-expansion. Will everything get finished before the expansion comes out? Probably not. But I hope a sizable chuck will be completed. After the expansion, I will take some time to play G&Ks to get a feel for the new mechanics and such, and then adjust CCTP to match. Right now I think I will keep the religion system as it is (it seems well-designed) but that might change in the future.

And has Fires been active recently? These plans will go a lot smoother if I could count on his lua expertise.

@drumheller101: The SV problem is from the WW2 units that were included. I've found the only way to clear this up is to move the New Units folder (CCTP/Units/NewUnits) to the Z-Unused folder. Don't know why there are problems, but I've found that I don't really miss the WW2 units after playing without them for a while.

I thought i will remove the first entries but nothing helps, i cleaned the cache but SV is not working at its should.
So what have you done, have you already tested this version? I know the swamp bug i pointed it since the release.
But if you could not see your units in SV this is a shame, sorry to say that but thats the truth keep up the work and please find your errors. I have tried over an hour to track the error but did not find him .Iam rage quit now and do other things.

I've hit a little snag. I really hope that I'm just overthinking things though. I can't add new techs without breaking the tech tree. The techs show up in the Civilpedia and all that jazz, but nothing happens when I go to open the tech tree. Horem, did you ever add new techs in the Epic Speed Mod? If so, how did you overcome this???
