Community Patch - Modpack (Multiplayer Compatible)

Right, I saw that. What I'm asking is if the file repositories automatically update. So in other words, do we need to wait for this post to be updated or not?

If you want a more up-to-date modpack, you should go to an Iamblichos thread
Try the second link.
But Vox populi MP is not perfect yet, there are some problems (sometimes game-breaking).

For MP I am more interested in the patch, not so much the CBO part. Since my friends and I play against AI. Does the patch still make it gamebreaking?

I don't know, depend the version and your settings. You should test it yourself.
Disable barbarians, it create desyncs. Also, good ping and good pcs are useful.
The "game-breaking" bug only occur in the lastest version (8-9, perhaps 8-8).

Hi,

I have been experiencing issues playing multiplayer with version 3-19.

I didn't have the log enabled, but we came to the conclusion that barbarians were causing a desync issue by trying games with different settings.

Upon starting a game with 4 human players without barbarians, the game would reload on turn 1, and then proceed as normal with a few reloads throughout a whole game.

Starting a game with the same 4 humans players with barbarians reloads on turn 1 again, but seems to reload again on the turn after a barbarian encampment or unit spawns: after reloading, units that were not there previously were now present, or vice-versa, or no change at all.

Including an AI in the game makes no difference to this.

Another issue that we noticed was that sometimes when stepping on ruins, after the game reloads the bonus obtained would often change (only with barbarians active).

Thanks.

It's likely that any offical response you'd get to this would just say to update to the newest version to give feedback on. The 3-19 version is from so long ago that it's unlikely that it could be used to accurately provide feedback for the newest version.

The city banner doesn't seem to load anymore, which is weird because it worked when I used the mod through the mods menu instead. It only works again if I take the whole thing out! There's also an issue with the unit menu at the bottom left disappearing even if I click on units, but I don't have the time to replicate it atm

Screenshot of city thing: http://imgur.com/MGKZ3Sq (it also affects others' cities and city-states)

Bump, same issue. Thanks for the mod and help!

Where do I download the latest beta version?

Take the Modpack Version for 8-2 NOEUI. I play a game with my fried and we are on turn 860 with only 2 desyncs.Take the modpack without active ai und turn the barbarians and ancient ruins off.

Newer modpack have a massiv problem the the diplo. When a human player make diplo decisions with the Ai you get a massiv desync loop on the next turns...unplayable.

The 8-2 version ist very stabile!:)

Folks,

Sorry for the dumb question: I have placed the MP mod pack in the requisite folder, but when I look at the DLC list, it does not show this mod listed.

Does that matter? Or, did I do something wrong?

Also, I notice that the SP version (autodownload) works fine, but when I do the MP file download, I get individual texture and color error messages at the Game Setup screen. I do not have all the minor DLCs bought. But, again, the SP version works fine...

Can't figure that one out, either...

Thanks,

Marc

Ehm, im slightly confused now. What version should i download now? Whats the most stable and with less bugs that is ... I have civ 5 complete and would like to play with my brother with this mod enabled.

Am I seeing this right, the last posted links are the newest version of the multyplaer mods? I have already installed the mod with the "vox populi (9-30) Beta.exe" successfully but I'm not able to play it in MP with my friend. After some reading in the board I think I have to install the mod in some kind of multiplyer version as a DLC to play it online. (...Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC ) Can I only copy the files into this index or do I have to keep more in mind? To consider something else? Thanks in advance.

You basically have to DLC-ify them... as per this: http://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/mpmpm-multiplayer-mod-dlc-hack-updated.533238/ ... also the trouble-shooting bit because of the modded dll.

The Vox Populi installed (exe) is only for single player. To play multiplayer you need to install the modpack, with the most recent one being 10-something somewhere in the most recent posts (not in this thread). You'll then need to unzip that file and drop it into your DLC folder. After that you should be fine to play multiplayer or single player without ever loading the mods through the menu.

As a side note, if you installed the regular single player only mod you'll need to remove the UI folder from the DLC folder. The installer installs one to that folder and it will mess up your graphics if you try to use the modpack with that in there as well.

Thanks for your help! I have installed the new-10-9-1 mod and started a multiplayer game with one AI (Pitboss/Internet). I didn't have bugs till turn 42. (I can´t start a new turn, a unit needs order but had no options to move.) I saved the game and after a reloaded it I could play to round 50 without any bugs.

How many human players?

None human players, because I just wanted to test it shortly. Maybe I have time in the next few weeks to try a game with human players.
