Hey, i just signed up for this, but i've had civ 3 for about 2 weeks now. I just changed the resources.pcx by converting them to .bmp through a program called Analyzer, since i don't have anything to edit them in pcx format. Anyway i converted them to .bmp and now in the game they are black squares. i have no idea why, any help would be appreciated. By the way frequently, civ3files.com will tell me sorry no remote linking. And i can't download anything.

First: Civ3 does not support BMPs. To use any resource files they must not only be in PCX, but PCX with 256 color pallette.

Second, the remote linking. This only happens when another website links to my files that hasnt first asked permission. My site, sween32's site, and one other site are the only ones with permission currently. If you are getting the error when trying to download from my site (which has been reported once before) check to make sure you are using an updated version of your web browser.

I did convert them back to pcx's but i haven't looked into the 256 color thing. So when i save them as bmp's and then convert them the bmp's should be in 256 colors before i convert them to pcx's?

I must be a newbie. I have another problem, i got the resources to show up but the transparency is off. It supposed to be trasparent but it shows up in a pink box. Does anyone know why, thanks.

I altered your download version of resources.pcx

In doing so you may have messed up the pallette. Here is what you do: Open my PCX and save the pallette (in PSP7 in "Colors->Save Pallette") Save as whatever you want. THen open your version and do a "Colors->Load Pallette" and select the .pal you made earlier. Make sure "Nearest Color" is checked. This SHOULD solve your problems.

BTW What did you do to the file? IF you added resources you should send them to me so I can add them to this one as well.

i added 4 things which, except for the weed graphic, are just modified ones from the same file. I use analyzer and it won't let me save in psp7 only jasc. I would send but i don't have much time on till it's my sisters turn and it's 10 megs. Sorry. So i gave just the ones i made.

Is the resource in row 21 : coloum 1 supposed to be coral?

I havent the foggiest. It kinda looks like an indian headress, and also like some form of coral . . .

It was me who created released the first units_32 sheet and Zulu took it on from there.

kittenOFchaos certainly did do the first units_32.pcx sheet, but it only had 50 extra icons on it. At the time I'd been struggling myself with units_32 so that file was a godsend, and it inspired me to put my file out.

There is no list as of yet. I am hoping that someone will do one as I cannot even tell what some of the things are. Maybe I will write the ones I know, and then let others fill in the blanks.
