The forums are messing up.

I have complained to mods twice about critical errors, and in both times the posts corrected but the problems still exist as demonstrated in the following images.

Browser: Mozilla

That's no consolation ;)

Notice on this one where the posts that come after are missing...

I discovered found a glitch in MSIE that prevents that browser from viewing this site. If you use the security tab to give privaleges to this domain, it messes up - cookies stop working even if specifically enabled - and when you undo the settings the problem doesn't go away!

Following discussion with other IT professionals, I learned that the above MSIE problem is known but apparently nobody ever uses those features so few people discover it :crazyeye:

Hence my almost forced switch to Mozilla (for only this site) and now look what I get... :(

Hm - I maintain a ask before accepting cookie setting, and have no problems with viewing cfc in IE. Whenever I see something weird, reloading seems to help.

Mozilla has the same security settings more or less, and there too reload is the solution that seems to work most times

I think you misunderstood. See Internet Option > Security ...

It is the feature supporting trusted & resticted sites that can cause a bug to materialise in MSIE :(

Btw, the Mozilla glitches are not appearing at the moment

Recomended Solution: STOP USING MOZILLA.:mischief:

CAN'T YOU READ?

MSIE no longer works for this site. It works for all other sites, just not this one... I added it to the trusted/resticted area of IE security options and that messed it up.

I removed it again, but that doesn't fix it!

MSIE is kaput (for this site)! :(

Mozilla problem has returned. I can't see the last posts in this thread...

Besides. "Not Mozilla Friendly" is a bad situation for any website to be in ;)

Why? I think it'd be great! It'd keep the computer forum from turning into:
A: "I've got a problem."
B: "You should be using Mozilla."
A: "I don't want to use Mozilla, I use (insert anything else in existence)."
B: "Use Mozilla."
A: "Do you know anything about my problem with xxxxx?"
B: "No, I use Mozilla."
A: "Why is it everytime someone comes here with any mention of any browser you groupies harp on Mozilla?!"
B: "I dunno...Mozilla, Mozilla, Mozilla!"

(Not personally accusing you of being in this crowd, Stormbind. I just don't see why being Mozilla unfriendly would be a bad thing for the site. I'm okay with losing innocent posters if it would keep out the groupies.)

perhaps your problem is related to the forum style you're using. change it to a default style (wherever it is) and see if it helps.

i'm using Opera and have no problems with the forum. :)

Hmm,, I have noticed minor glitches with Mozilla and the Forums, but that was only with Mac OSX style, which I have stoped using.

The only other problem is that the animated smilies stop working, but that is a good think, since they are soo bloody annoying . . .

WTH are you talking about? They work for me at least.

Lets see here.

:ninja: :rocket: [party] :jump: :ar15: :die: :sheep: :band:

Lets see if these work

EDIT: Yeah they work fine.:p :D

If you're only using a browser, why not Firefox which is essentially a browser-only version of Mozilla. Firefox works well here and Opera too for that matter.

The Smilies randomly stop being animated, it is most interesting, because there is no pattern, they just randomly stop . . . which is a good thing . . .

A bit too well . . .

Right now, for example, I see the rolling ones rolling in their annoying little way, but I don't see the laughing ones moving at all, thankfully . . .
