No, that was saying there will be a gift exchange on the 28th. Of December. Because he says there will be a short period of civ between the 18th and the 24th. He's giving us future plans, not past ones ;) .
 
Welcome to CFC!!! You're at least the 15th person who has been welcomed in this thread!

I think we should get a mod to rename this thread to "Conquest of the World/Welcome New Members" or something.

My apologies, but as DOMINATRIX guessed, too much other stuff has been going on. Not work at all, but a great increase in "real-life" activities that has been both great fun and a bit of a holiday from reality despite coming in the form of an increase in "real-life". Civilization paled in comparison to the enjoyment real life offered, and when that happens, well, updates don't appear.

With exams coming up now and no studying yet done, it would be unrealistic to expect an update before the 18th. Real life offers hope of events then as well, so I can't really promise when another update will come. In the mean time I'd recommend reading TheRat's stories - they are most excellent and the little time I've had for Civ recently I've mostly devoted to reading his updates.

The latest GOTM (Egypt) fell by the wayside as well, and will likely not be completed. COTW is not alone in Civ items neglected by me recently.

QFT. Although, of course, it depends on the quality of the story and the set-up of the game. I tried once, and it didn't work... But I've still got an awesome plan.
