i thought they would be scenario specific...

is it just me or do the new trait bonuses seem a bit soft? (especially the seafaring one)

Free Lighthouse (not quite, as there is less chance to sink in Sea, not removed chance, but you do get extra movement). You also get an increased chance of starting on the ocean, so you can use that +1 move. Since you are on the coast, you get an extra commerce in the center square. And cheap Harbors give you veteran ships to win even more battles (plus the food and trade people normally build them for).

Do you have any idea what a huge impact one additional commerce has in the early game? Especially the SEA/ COM and SEA/SCI Civ are incredible research powerhouses.

SEA is my absolute favorite trait.:king:

I hope so

Keep civilized

David

Probably not. The Corragh is available at Alphabet, so seafaring probably starts with Alpha. Agricultural might get pottery.

I have been reading about the Industrious trait now having just 50% greater worker speed. Is this true? If so, it's a very important change, and should be mentioned in the initial post.

That preview at UGO is pretty good. I am guessing that this is the Trebuchet unit:

@gunnerxtr-I think that it is part of the trebuchet

im pretty sure its not because at the site that u provided there are several cities with them and without trebuchets its almost a symbol just like the ones there are for harbors and airports, maybe it means city walls or somehting

* MIDDLE AGES
Byzantium, Arabs, English, Danes, Celts, Kievan Rus
Buildings : Templar Knights (spawns Templar every 5 turns)
Terrains :
Functions : Victory Points win, gained in various ways depending on the civ: English gain 10000 points by returning the Holy Grail to Jerusalem; Christian nations gain points by capturing Jerusalem; points available for conquering other nations, or points for being nice

Does that mean you think you'll win when you play Bycantium. since Theodora is clearly the prettiest Leader in this Conquest?

...or Ghandi, and donate what you have to anyone who cannot run away fast enough?

Where does that idea come from?

sholdnt guerllias have this too?

no, Snipers and tank hunters should should have it..

that marsh terrain, there's a lot they could do with i hope they use it to potential... they could do global warming like in civ II with marshes showing up near the coasts.. someone suggested clearing marshes before that would make sense, draining them, maybe making new rivers!

Here's the pertinent section from the chat , which is where that synopsis came from:
<theGreyFox> how do you win the MiddleAge Conquest?
<Merepatra_BA> Middle Age Conquest is a Victory points win. There are many ways to get victory points in it
<Jeff_ATARI> Victory Points. Mostly attained by beating the snot out of other countries
<bobT-BA> hehe
<Jeff_ATARI> but for the Christian countries, capturing Jerusalem is a whopping amount of points
<Merepatra_BA> Or if you are a Christain civ you can return a holy relic to Jeruseleum to get points
<bobT-BA> Or getting the big bonus by being nice to other countries as you trek across the map
<Merepatra_BA> 10000 points for England to return the Holy Grail
<Jeff_ATARI> The English and Celts fell to my Danes by midgame
This seems to indicate if you don't attack any of the other countries along the way, but only make do with the support from your original cities, you get a large amount of Victory Points. Presumably that's hard to achieve, so that most people will go for the "conquer the world" type of approach. I guess we'll know in 3 weeks. :)

With increased agression levels, I doubt peace is an easy thing to get.
