Sumerian civ can't build Spearman!!!
that's could be interesting.
Thats becouse theres UU (Enkidu Warrior) have 1.2.1 ability same as Spearman so no need for double it. Well like Persians don't build Mediaval Infantry or Carthage Pikeman.

Alone, you forgot two. Egypt doesn't build Horseman and Greece doesn't build Pikeman either.

I thought they could build the unit, it just doesn't upgrade to it (maybe this was just un-patched vanilla)

@Louis XXIV: Don't know if anybody said this but it is obviously the new barracks icon.
@SuperBeaverInc.: I don't see anything UNDERNEATH the sword icon . I didn't see the full screenshots either.

@Packer-Backer- There is a large white tower underneath the sword icon

I don't think it is part of the city, as it is the only city that has one. I don't think it is a unit either, as there is already one in the city. This is really strange.

Is that confirmed? Barracks didn't need an icon before, don't see why they need one now.

Maybe they put them in to show you if you have built one yet, like they do if the city has a harbor or airport. And no, I don't think it has been confirmed.

Can't Egypt produce horsemen? that's weird, since war chariots can't travel through jungles and stuff...

Checking the editor (vanilla 1.29)

Egypt can build Horsemen. Greece can't build Pikes.

But I think Sumer should be able to build Spears since Babylon can (both units have 2 defense, but upgrade differently than Spears).

@SBI: I saw that, I just misread what people said. It might just be a city improvement, but I know nothing.

@L24: I find it annoying not to know what cities have barracks, but it isn't confirmed and I, again, know nothing! It might be a unit-producing improvement but did anyone see a lot of cities with the icons? If there are lots of them they are barracks icons and if there are few than it is a unit-producer.

(I am really lazy right now so I only use initials in responses.)

I have seen two screenshots that have these. In each one, it seems about 3/4 cities have one, so I am guessing its a barracks symbol.

I don't think minor villages would be producing units free of cost every few turns. So it is definently a barracks symbol.

Happy Birthday C3C
