I know that it falls under the recommended CPU (4th gen I5), but I was running the game no problem over the weekend with over 10 hours of gameplay. The crashing suddenly started yesterday.
Upon loading my game always crashing within 5 minutes of playtime, and it usually crashes while the AI is completing their turn. No crash notification, no nothing, just a black screen. I also run a 970 gtx and 16 GB RAM. Memory usage is around 5GB in-game, so it seems to be related to CPU performance.
I already have added the exception to windows defender and disabled malware and cloud protection, lowered any settings that can help performance, and rebooted. Still having the same issues.
