Copying the Save Game Folders.

I would like to be able to continue a game on a different machine. Right now I am playing a Warlords Mod ... Ghengis Kahn ... and have tried copying WARLORDS/SAVES/SINGLE as well as the CivilizationIV ini file. When I try to load a saved game on my laptop, I get a runtime error CivilizationIV.exe

Any ideas?

are you trying to load warlords saves with civ4 instead of warlords?

No, I am trying to load Warlord saves after starting Warlords application.

is warlords patched to date (and was it when you made the saves?)

Yes, I have 2.13 for Warlords, and have the latest update for Vanilla, and BTS as well. I also run/install everything as administrator. I guess the question should be more generic. Is there anything else that needs to be copied besides the save game folders?

I'm updating my laptop from Vista to Windows 7, so I will re-install everything and try it again from scratch.

If you have the same patch of Warlords on both machines, saves should definitely be compatible.

Oops, I must have missed the patch for my notebook. Now that they are the same, everything works as it should.
