Here are the default flics without the famous problem of the build list of some custom units:

CFCconquistador.jpg

The conquistador zip includes all files: in fact I've resized all the animations, too (it was quite larger than the other mounted units: in the pic you can see that now it is the same size than cavalry now); thus I've solved the problem of "disappearing".

You can also find the Napoleonic Rifleman here in his thread (adjustment made by level)

P.S. thanks to level for the help!

I don't suppose you could do the same thing for the Cataphract, another of the AoK conversions? That's also a little big.

Sure, tell us! FLICSter doesn't seem to allow you to make flc smaller, only bigger. Is it just a case of making the pcx file smaller?

OK:

1-Pick a single frame of the unit you want to resize, and try resizing until you're satisfied. Then note the size to be (es. I did the Conquistador 240x240 -> 200x200 (about 83%): remember 200x200). I think there are no problems in doing this with any graphic program.
2-Open with FLICster your bigger unit, select export to a whole PCX file without borders.
3-Open with FLICster another unit at your choice (es. I used Cavalry), and export with these settings: a whole PCX file without borders, same number of frame of the first, same frame delay, same name, and in the frame size set "increase" to the size you should remeber (es. 200x200).
3-Look and remember how large in pixel is your PCX file of the second unit
4-Resize with any graphic program the first unit PCX to exactly the size you have just looked at of the second (I suggest to use a pixel-way to resize: avoid methods which involve blurring otherwise you'll obtain magenta unit borders)
5-Copy the PCX of the first unit on the other
6-Open with FLICster the second unit (the .FXM file) and export to a Civ3 file.
7-Put the file in the right folder and test.

Thanks Rhye! I think this thread is a great idea - perhaps it could be made sticky and be used as a "library" of fixes, used in conjunction with Lab Monkey's unit Library.

Is it just me or do these new defaults screw up when I try to fortify the conquistadore?

He seem to sink a few feet down...?

Ekk! what is wrong?

I checked and they work fine. What's exactly the problem? It is with any of my files or with any your creation?

False alarm!

Sorry, my good man, it was me mixing old and new flcs!

It works fine now!

:goodjob:

Rye,
You must hate "Pisa" ... "merda" .......... must be a soccer fan of Livorno that is in Serie B :D
I am a great soccer fan myself :yeah:
(Forza Juve!)

An American who loves soccer!!! GREAT!!!

Yes, as you see I live in Livorno and I love my city team.
Pisa is 20 Km (about 12-13 miles) from here and our cities have hated each other for centuries. Livorno and Pisa teams have both been in Serie C1 until last year. This is Livorno is promoted to Serie B, so I won't have to go to that pigsty anymore!

Hehehhe it was TOO STRANGE that an american loves soccer!!
Why the hell Americans don't like the best sport in the world?

A proposito, forse dato che stai a Chicago non lo sai, ma sabato prossimo c'è Palermo-Livorno (e il Palermo quest'anno è parecchio forte, è data tra le favorite per andare in A...)
