CotD problems

Hey again.
Recently Cult of the Dragons popped up in alot of my cities, My state religion is Fellowship of the Leaves and i have already Constructed Purge the Unfaithful.
I have no idea how to get rid of it cults or stop spreading it!

ive searched but all ive found were people actually liking the CotD

Well, because CotD is Guild, theres not much you can do too stop it.

IIRC there should be some events that will ask you to pay gold to throw them out of your cities but it is expensive and you have to wait till it pops up.

If you have a problem with the Cult, just spread Aeron guild

I thought cult only spreads through events that give you a choice to kick them out?

i wasnt prompt of any choices, actually, i conquered a rivals city and he had CotD already in it. Then it spread to like 3 other cities, my big ones too

Ah, Here is the problem. Normally when it wants to spread into your Empire, you get an event with a chance to refuse. It causes several turns of unrest in the city it wanted to spread in, but it stays out. But instead here you went and brought them in !

Cult start only in Sheim or Kuriotate city, and they must have Philosophy actually. Also if you strart in the classic era (so you have all ancient technology) the Cult will never appear. But if you have the CotD and want it to stop spread in your citys, just raze the city with it headquarter (it is allways Sheim or Kuriotate city).
