It was again a very close-run thing this month, with 12 players scoring in excess of 10,000 points.

Dynamic was the winner, achieving a conquest victory in 470 AD. Dr. Ekplektikos was a few turns and a few points behind with a 630 AD conquest win, and Snaga had the fastest domination and third place, breahing the domination limit in 510 AD.

Well done everyone! (For sticking it out... I gave up my 5CC 20K after the one and only session, probably a good move... wish I'd decided to go for a quick Space Race because whilst 1345 might've been a bit too difficult, pre-1500 was on given how wimpy Spain were.)

Well, at least I didn't have the worst score. After the additional indignity of having no saltpeter as well as no iron, I went after Spain, and my Templars were just not enough against their muskets.

I sure hope Conquest7 goes better than this.

Especially, I want to congratulate Darkness to his cow award. Though my own result was quite good, I knew it was not good enough if Darkness submitted. He revealed he had lack of RL time, and I must admit I checked the list of submitted games daily in the last couple of days in Nov .

Darkness, you definately deserved it!

It looks like there is a bloody competition between SirPleb and Kunnigas for Eptathlon Award. No one else is as close. They both are missing conquest and 20K. It will be fun if they would choose the same victory condition in one of the following games.

BTW, how much did the lack of an eighth luxury hurt your score? I think the lack of dyes easily cost me between 250-500 Firaxis points...

Actually, this one is mine -- I got a 2021 AD SpaceRace Victory with 1793 points. I was actually the lowest scoring victor this time, but like they say ... any landing you can walk away from is a good one!

I especially wanted to congratulate A'AbarachAmadan for winning the 20K award. My late research of Steam Power probably hurt me by about 5 turns or so, but your use of the Capital for your 20K city was a decisive factor.
