I have a question about cousins that I can't find anything on.

Person A has cousins from his/her uncle and girlfriend but his/her uncle's girlfriend also has a child from a previous relationship. Since his/her cousins are blood related to him/her and their uncle's girlfriend is technically related to them now to. Does that mean that the girlfriends previous child is their cousin now to?

I'm afraid to ask why.

Ha ha. I figured I'd get a few answers like that. I'm asking because my fiance told me about something her brother did back in the day. They're from Kentucky. What else can I say.

Also, just to add when the blood cousins have children they will be second cousins. Whereas the ones by marraige I believe are no relation. They are your step cousin's child. I believe this cuts off at some point as far as 2nd cousins go. I don't think you can have a 5th cousin like this but don't know. I have alot os 2nd cousins.

Honestly I see nothing wrong with enjoying your cousins company a little more then you should. Rudy Juliani did as did Edgar allen Poe and Jessie James.

Probably not a good idea with biologically related cousins (although only a problem if you were to have kids).

Its not something I think about. I have cousins who are my age and not bad-looking, but they are my cousins, so I don't think about it. Seriously, with all the people in the world, avoid your cousins.

As for usarmy18's question, I guess its been answered. I wouldn't have been much help, though, since the idea of first cousins, second cousins, etc tends to confuse me.

Meh.

Einstein married his cousin.

So did my grandpa on my dad's side.

And FDR.

And Edgar Allen Poe.

And... And... And... ...

Hmm. Time to break out Leviticus, I guess. I am positive the permissible relations are covered.
