I have a unique situation. I have been monitoring my cpu temperature while playing civ and something weird has been happening. When I first start up civ, everything is fine. Then after a certain amount of time, my cpu heats up to an uncomfortable level.
I have found that simply reloading every so often helps, but the wierd thing is that if I completely shut down civ and immediately start it up again, my temps are fine.
Why is this? I have started to just start the game, play for five minutes, then shutdown and immediately restart. While it is not a big deal, I am just curious as to why this happens.
Finally, along the same lines, I have noticed the game loads faster the second time. Is this because the game is still "fresh" to the computer?
Thanks
