Crash After Playing on Steam

Something weird is happening to my copy. Every time I exit to desktop, this dialog box comes up about the game that says there as a crash, even though I didn't experience any crash while playing the game. It seems to be a false crash report.

Any ways to fix this?

Just an update:

I achieved a cultural victory as Gandhi, then after running the victory movie twice I clicked the main menu, and then the game crashes, the same troubleshooting prompt from Firaxis comes up and I'm in my desktop. What''s happening?

My game is running fine until I exit to desktop too. The program becomes unresponsive and I have to use task manager to close it in order to get back to the desktop.

It seems like it's gone now, the last time I played. Although I still have to find an explanation for this.
