Crazed Promotion...

Reminds me of when I was Lanun and ended up with a large number of enraged settlers. It seems every time they were out of my reach they would go barb on me.

That's pretty funny... did they actually settle into barb cities?

yeah, it's funny until it happens to you

"screw you I've had enough of your greedy ways! I'm going to settle it wherever I choose!"

well aside from the laugh, that sounds VERY annoying indeed.

Hmm, with a crazed unit, I think it would be more like: "Nooo! Not the Giant Hairy cabbages! I'll not live in the vally of Huge Man Eating Potato! Never! I will find my own slice of cake to settle on!", or something like that.

I'd like to see the Loyalty spell remove Enraged, Crazed or any other promotion condition which leads to a chance to turn barbarian (Feral, with Fall further).

This is a very very weak spell atm.

And its incredibly annoying when a high level unit that you have spend much effort grooming gets mutated into Enraged and turns Barb. Not fun.

I gotta say that the OO religion took a big hit several versions ago when they gave units a random chance to get the crazed promotion to units built in a asylum. Not to mention lunatics also could turn native too.

Their hero also got nerfed badly too with removal of archmage lvl DD spells (but that's for another post).

I'd like to see the loyalty spell moved up to level 2 (I personally think Valor is weak enough to be a level 1 spell), and changed so that instead of giving a promotion it causes units to return to their original civ after being converted. This would require adding a nationality attribute to units, but this could be borrowed straight from Dom Pedro II's Conqueror's Delight.
