When I just had PTW, I was playing a mod that I made and so I start just slaughtering 20 spearmen with one Archer and then the Military Advisor comes up and says "Rename this Unit?" and in the Text Box it says "Guerilla" so I close it and in my city there is a Guerilla! I was so freaked out! Can anyone tell me why this is?

When an elite unit creates a Great Leader, you get the option to rename the unit - this helps you remember what unit is was, as elite units can only create a Great Leader once.

You can also manually rename any unit manually if you want. As for spotting troops that have generated leaders, they have a nice * by their rank.

I guess he's more wondering about where the Guerilla came from...maybe he incidentially upgraded the Archer (u, shift_u)? Since you couldn't do that before ptw, it may be surprising at first sight.
When an Archer generates a MGL, the textbox should say 'Archer____'.
