Crusaders & Ancient Cavalry

I've recently tried to mod my game so that these two units can be upgraded to Guerilla and Cavalry respectively, but the change doesn;t seem to have taken effect.

I decided to mod Guerillas at the sime time to give a movement rating of 2, which seems to have worked, so I know I saved the mod properly.


Is there some in-built reason for why these two units can't be upgraded?

Maybe I can help you.

Make sure you follow the upgrade chain.

Change Longbowman upgrade to crusader and crusader to guerilla.

Haven´t tried it myself but it should work.

You don't need to add them to exsiting upgrade patch.

It's just enought to say that Crusader upgrades to Guerrila and AC to Cavalry.
And then, don't forget, add "upgrade unit" flag (at right side of the screen).

Ah...I may not have spotted the flag. I'll give it a go.

Also, after you play several games, I would really like to hear your oppinion, about balance of upgrading AC to Cavalry.
