About 10 years ago my local pub landlord was an ex Notts County player and he was always sprouting football trivia.

Aparently, Notts County were the team which had been promoted / relegated the most and I do not believe much has changed in the last 10 years!!

So i'll go with Notts County.

What league are we talking about then? I know that for the premier league it's leicester city (and it's predecessor) with 22 moves. Notts County stands for 11 moves to and from the premier league.

I'm not sure I understand the question.. you are saying that in the season 1989/90 there were two teams that met a lot in San Siro for various competitions and those players played all/most of those games right?

So I'd go with AC Milan and Internazionale, and as players I'll start with Van Basten, Baresi, Maldini..

It was badly phrased: I mean 6 players (3 + 3) that met a lot against each other in san Siro for different teams and competitions. But always the same group of 3 against the other group of 3, no matter the competition. Your track leads to the right one.

I think he meant the entire professional leagues.
