Well, forgoing confirmation of my predeeding memory, the question is: Name 10 elves (or Half elves) met by Frodo in LOTR.

Arwen
Legolas
Haldir
Galadriel
Celeborn

I can't remember Elrond's advisor who advised against the Fellowship, and I'm sure there are some names I'm missing from Rivendell or Lorien.

Ah well. Though I'm a huge LOTR fan, I can't seem to keep up with some of you "LOTR fanatics"!

I do not believe he met one of this name (the famous Nimrodel, of course, disapeared some centuries before the war of the ring.

There are 5 more he met in Rivendell, and two more (I only rember one of their names) in Lothlorian.

(named) elves encountered by Frodo in LOTR in addition to the 9 named above:

Lindir in Rivendell (when Bilbo is trying out his song the night before the Council)
Erestor and Galdor in Rivendell at the Council of Elrond
Elladan & Elrohir (13/16 elven by my calculation but later elected to become mortal men) 2 or 3 times
Rumil (brother of Haldir, named above) in Lothlorion, and another brother of these two whose name I cannot recall
and no doubt a few I have Forgotten

And certainly Elladan and Elrohir. Duh.

Yeah, that's my bad. The person I'm looking for is a errend rider from Gondor.

Off the top of my head, I can think of two.

• Prince Imrahil
• Forlong the Fat

Imrahil and Forlong are the only two I can remember by name; I do remember that there was a pair brothers who a led contingent and both died in the battle ... if that's a help to anyone else.

Forlong and Imrahil are both correct. And there were indeed a pair of brothers who came with their father. Other than they, there are three others as well.
