Oooh, let me think, let me think....

Ahh, here's a good one, TOS also

What is the name of Khan's ship, and what author is Khan's favorite? Bonus points for identifying what year WWIII ended according to TOS.

The ship, of course, was the Botany Bay. The year that World War III ended was something like 1996 -- though here I may be confusing with a World War III in some other sci-fi reference. As for favorite book, for some reason Caeser's Gallic Wars comes to mind.

EDIT: Having thought about it a little more, his favorite author might be Nietzsche (or, at least, it should be Nietzsche).

Looks like to out of three, Andu.

Khan liked John Milton's "Paradise Lost".

He quotes it at the end of "Space seed".

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven

You could probabably have predicted that I would Have a copy of Milton's poems here.

Correct, it is the Botany Bay, and the writer is Milton. I thought WWIII was around 1993, but that was a bonus question anyway. 1990's shall do.

If no objections, Andu gets to ask the next question.

Drat another blank!

On that last question though the conflict that ended in 1996 were
the Eugenics Wars Started By Kahn and his genetically altered followers.
There are references to the 37 Million people lost, in "Bread & Ciruses" by
both Spock and Bones. While in " Space Seed " Spock does talk about the
third world war taking place during the mid 1990's he also states
that records from this time in Earth's History are fragmentary.
Col. Green in Savage Curtain is described as leading a genocidal War in
the 21st century. And "Far Point" as well as other episodes of STTNG speak
of a war taking place in the 21st century. So this is one of the Star Trek facts
that has some descrepency.

P.S. Riverside, Iowa is listed as Kirk's Birthplace on the
Offical Star Trek website.

Onizuka, named for one of the astronauts killed when the space shuttle Challenger exploded in 1986. (I remember that.

Andu Indorin,

Congratulations we checked our source and it confirms that "The Wounded"
was indeed the first appearance of Cardassians.
Don't know what the procedure is on this but at least start thinking of your
question Andu Indorin, we are sure you are correct.

Well, just seeking to solve the WWIII question, I again saw Space Seed today. (Ok, it was on the sci-fi channel when the sci-fi club was meeting.)

He gained power earlier, but was overthrown in 96.

P.S. Did you see some of the costumes the "super-women" were wearing?
