Do you mean getting caught in the nexus in the "Generatios" movie, Starlifter?

Yes! That's it!

Good job, she said something to the effect that she realized her "experience in the Nexus" had changed her, and that she "knew things about people, events, and time." Picard said something like "I've always wondered about where you got your sixth sense". Sorry, I don't have the movie or I'd go get the the exact quotes.

I hadn't the question to be very hard or obscure, esp. since the movie was so recent. But I admit setting up the 3rd part by emphasizing the episode as the source for the 1st 2 parts

.

So nice job, and your turn, AoA!

LOL, I'm not replying to myself, but usually a 2nd post is either to another individual, ot another added thought. Matrix tells me my posts are too long (probably true at times), and you're saying they're too short

. Hopefully, Thunderfall does not have to pay per post, hehe. BTW, I had 3 doubles, 8 singles, and a leadoff 'triple'... In baseball, I'd be in good shape!

(And, if I recall correctly, Major Christopher was flying an "old" F-4 Phantom when the Enterprise's tractor beam crushed it; do you think that our present "warhorse" F-16 could hold the pressure of a tractor beam?)

I hope that answer might be close enough, because:

Which noted sci-fi authors contributed to the creation of the Star Trek mythos with the stories that became the episodes "Shoreleave" and "City on the Edge of Forever."

(sorry, just dying to ask this question <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/spinsmile.gif" border=0>)

We already said the answer was 13.
And the questions are about history in Star Trek. Not history in real life about Star Trek.

But I don't know anyway...

Thanks, Starlifter.

We need a new question:

From DS9, what was the name of the ship that Sisco's wife was killed on, and name the DS9 episode, AND the STTNG episode it was linked to.
wink.gif

Semi-hard, I think.

Well, a lot of DSN questions will be completely alien (pun?) to me, but this one I know... we learned of this in the first 2-part episode of DSN, The Emmissary, which I found weird and sort of hard to follow, esp. the first time it was aired in 1993.

The ship was the Saratoga (one of the great US aircraft carriers, like the Enterprise of WW II was, and the current one still is). The episode where we learn of her existance and death was The Emmissary (Part I, I'm pretty sure), but she had to have actaully been killed at Wolf 359 in one of the great TNG episodes, The Best Of Both Worlds, Part II (season opener, probably 1990)... the Borg, led by Locutis (Capt Picard was captured by the Borg and assimilated as Locutis), attacked the Federation fleet assembled at Wolf 359, and the Saratoga (we learn in DSN) was one of the many starships there. Sisko, Jake, and his wife (Jennifer?) were on the ship (why wives and children were going into a pre-planned all-out combat is a mystery to me). Sisko & Jake got away, wife was killed.

EDIT: Several minor corrections.

Excellent, Starlifter!

At least Corn and i have someone else to answer these!

I'm can be very hit-and-miss with DSN and STV, as I have not seen the bulk of those episodes. But I've seen all the TOS and almost all of TNG episodes, plus all the movies, LOL.
smile.gif

Let's see. OK, 2-parter. Pretty easy... Which Star Trek (TOS) character appeared in the greatest number of TOS episodes? Which TOS Character was the first to be a guest star in a TNG episode?

I would have to say that Spock was the character in the most TOS episodes. He was in the pilot and Kirk was not.

McCoy guest stared on the TNG pilot (First Episode). Spock, and Scotty were other TOS characters on TNG. Sulu also guest stared on an episode in Voyager.

That's what I had in mind! Good responses, so your turn.

Hummmmm.....my question.

In DS9 the Federation built mines, so they could mine the Bajorian wormhole and stop the Dominion from exiting it in the Alpha Quadrant. What were 2 VERY COOL features of these mines? (That set them apart from other mines)

Well, I'll admit I did not even realize the Federation had mines in the wormhole. What are they mining for?

Oh well, I'll take a wild guess, and say I seem to recall Sisko somehow blew up the wormhole when a bunch of JemHaddar ships were coming thru to attack. So maybe the mines can be exploded, or the ore detonated. And maybe they can be used to hide the wormhole entrance. At least its a guess

hmm. . .

See if I remember this rightly. Those mines were cloaked and self replicating so they rebuilt when some were detonated.

I'm not too sure of my answer so I'll wait before I post a question.

Yep!!!

The 3 I would accept were:
1) Cloak
2) When they destroyed a target they would use the debris and onboard replicators to create more mines, and
3) When a target comes into range it will determine how many mines are needed to destroy it...and then it attacks.

Correct!!! Your question???

Alright. Here's a not too difficult one.

What was William Riker's double(Thomas Riker) searching for when he joined the maquis(spelling!?) and what happened to him?

I think you have stumped us!!!

Can you enlighten us with the answer???
smile.gif

Then you can ask another question.

I mean to post the answer the other day actually but I kept forgetting. This thread was slowly sinking to the bottom where I wasn't really looking.
tongue.gif

I didn't think it was that hard. Then again that's probably becasue I saw that DS9 episode the other day
smile.gif

I can't remember why Riker was looking but he searching for a top secret cardasian(Spelling?) base. Kind of the equivalant of area51.

He stole the defiant and headed off with Kira and a bunch of others. They ended up getting caught and in order to save Kira and the rest of his crew he turned himself over to the cardasians. In the words of dukat I believe he was "Tried, convicted and sent to a labour camp where he would spend the rest of his life"

new question: I'll stick to The original or Next generation since all of you know those better.

How many androids were created by Data's creator?

Second bonus question: How many were created of Data's design? Note: Some were not created by the same guy who made Data.

How many androids were created by Data's creator?

Data and Lore. So 2.

Second bonus question: How many were created of Data's design? Note: Some were not created by the same guy who made Data.

I think Data is the only one. At least I know he's the only one in Starfleet.

I know TOS, TNG and VOY pretty well.....but I never watched DS9 until the very end....and I still don't really like it. Worf and Chief O'Brien are the only redeaming cast members. (The only reason I watch anyway. Although...the Doctor is pretty cool too.)

Close so I'll let you have it.

The answer I was looking for to part 1 is 3. There was Data, Lore and Datas "Mother" of sorts. She was Noonans girlfriend I think and she died of a disease. He built another android that looked exactly like her and placed her memories, thoughts, etc into it. She never realized what she was and didn't know she died.

Answer to part 2 is 4. Data created an android himself. I think he called her Lal or something like that. Her emotional processor was defective in some way and she burnt out and died.

There was Data, Lore, His mother whose name I can't remember and Lal.

Your question?

You guys should have waited, I knew the data question.
