cursor flickering

hey I just got the game over christmas and i notice that my cursor just kept flickering I suspect its a problem with my radeon 300 graphics card but i wanted to know if anyone else was expeinceing this problem My computer is a dell 8400 with a 3Ghz processer and 1GB of ram with the above mention radeom 300 card

Do you have mouse trails turn on in Windows?
the pointer flickers for me when it is turned on.

I'm in the same boat as you, blshear. Others on here were so kind as to help me resolve my problem (as best they could) and it is understood (for me anyways) that it is a 100% inadequate video card issue and that best results will be seen via a dedicated, not integrated video card.

I had the exact same flickering effect and had to replace my graphics card. I could not find Radeon 300 so I dont know how it compares to my new card. Very inexpensive to replace. If you upgrade check to see if your current card is either PCI or AGP ( you prolly knew that). $80

WOW! mjm thanks for that tip.

I didn't have mouse trails, but I opened up the mouse control panel anyway and saw that I DID have it turned on, but the trail length were dialed down to the lowest setting and weren't even visible. But unchecking that box solved this annoyance.
