Hello everyone,
I am pretty new to civfanatics so please excuse me if this post isn't in the right forum.
I have shown Civ6 to two of my friends lately and to my surprise they really enjoy this game. They aren't really into strategy games at all and it was not easy to teach Civ6 because I am somewhat of a newer player myself with around 100 hours only.
The one critism they had were the maps. I think the random maps are okay but I also don't love them. So I thought I could make a map myself for our sessions. Now, I would like to ask you guys if you have any ideas how such a map could/should look like. We really like maps with more than one continent since we enjoy the whole naval stuff. Are there any things I need to consider or that makes it easier to learn the game without getting an unfair advantage over the AI? (For Example: a lot ot mountains or less desert) And lastly: How do I make sure that my friends can play that map? Do they need to do anything apart from downloading and putting it into the right folder?
Ideas/tipps/help is very much appreciated!
