I think if you use the Obelisk and Sphinx buildings/models and put them on the table instead of "Ramasses stuff" (by that I assume you mean his accessories) it would look better. How about Churchill's top hat with a feather and maybe a voodoo doll for, well, voodoo?
I finally decided to combine Refar+Amra ideas, i.e. using Refar clear nif with paper and candle, adding specific religion's shrine/cathedral/temple on desk edges (see animism below)
Animist religion (with Henge, Wood and Megalith models on desk edges).
I used nifskope to do that (copy/paste ninode branches, then move/scale imported objects).
I made animist paper using photoshop, but gimp will do it as well.
I'm planning to complete animist/egyptian/sumerian/greek/zoroastrian/judaism/christian cutscenes.
It has no separate animation files (kf/kfm) so if you edit it in a 3d software you need to impoert and export the nif complete with the animation (can Blender import/export anims yet ?).
Easiest and safest should be just to make (or take from other nifs) the extra parts you want and place them with nifscope, like ambrox did.
I would however be careful, when taking parts of units or terrain - these are somewhat low-rew meshses/textures and might look odd when scaled all the way up... (The rice field...)
Yes, I believe blender can do the stuff now (w/ ver 2.48a). I plaid for a stone altar and carved stonewalls instead every proportions remaining equals.
I believe low res objects can be adapted with subsurf and vertex editing.
