I wouldn't mind a CFC alliance. I wish borders meant something though. :( Currently you can't see me because I am at peace until the end of the week. I figure I may as well use the free 7 day/no penalty thing to my advantage. :D

That is what I am doing.

You can be at peace for 7 days, then switch to "war is an option" for one day and then go back to peace with no penalty? Good news!

Just the first 7 days. The usual time for no penalty is 3 days. Here is a link concerning it.

War/Peace Preference Penalty Rules

EDIT: Also, has anyone else figured out the "magic number" for tax %? I think it is 23%. But I have fine jewelry plus a few other happiness resouces. If I didn't have happiness resources I wouldn't be able to maintain 23%. And 23% provides the best revenue right now for me. I think the magic number is either 1) BS 2)Provided happiness resources are provided at a good amount. But not a "magic number" in all circumstances.

BTW - I am team blue.

Thanks, King F!
My taxe rate is 20%. Haven't bothered to change it. I'm not sure how the foreign aid thing works. Maybe the older nations could help the poorer alliance members?

Here's the trick, before you collect your taxes. Open two windows up, one for 'edit your nation', the page where you change your tax rate, and another of the 'collect taxes' page. Just change your tax rate, and refresh the other page, and see how much taxes per citizen you will be getting. Go through all of them before you click 'collect taxes'. ;)

Go Green!

I have created my new nation, though not in Thurso, but from my old flat in Aberdeen. I already have control over the nearby supermarket, muhahahaaaa!

You must trade both when you have a trading partner, but you still have the benefits of your starting resources, added to the new incoming ones.
