DAE feel like VP is broken?

I know I am (re-)opening the Pandora's box here, but maybe - just maybe - the AI could actually get some malus in the lowest 1-2 difficulties?
The player gets substantial bonuses on Settler, so he could always downgrade to that if he wants to have a walk-in-the-park game or at least an even easier game.

Also, maybe he should exercise that German brain a little more and git gud before his German heart brakes. :D
Am Deutschen Wesen mag die Welt genesen.

But seriously, I don't think Settler is so hard that it needs to be nerfed.

Wait a second, you went honour (Authority?) and you don't like expanding while considering 10 cities to be much? I frequently have 10+ by medieval, not by renaissance. There's nothing wrong about fighting on two fronts if you took Authority and have the advantage. This is the aggressive tree where you're meant to fight and weaken people by killing their troops, pillaging their lands and taking their cities. This tree needs expansion and war to be competitive.
Is there a comprehensive statistical mod compatible with vox ? I remember vanilla had such a statistical feature, mainly graphical, with time on x-axis and various yields on y-axis. It also showed others Civs time curves along with your Civ so it was cool feature, I loved watching the graphs and comparing my performance through the ages.

EDIT: It was not vanilla. It was Infoaddict mod that provided these graphs. Does Infoaddict work with vox ?

Awesome. I find it difficult to believe that a 2010 mod works with a 2019 mod. Are there any issues between the two mods ? Particularly any conflicts between IA and EUI ?

I also see now that there is IA Light version as well. Is it recommended over classic IA ?

So coyte welcome! It is wonderful to hear a Chieftain player's experience on the forum, as we very rarely hear from people below King. Its always important to get those experiences.

The mod's AI has gotten significantly better in the last several months, several of us have had to lower difficulties. So I would try that first to see if you get the experience you are looking for.

I rarely use it, as it's technically cheating, but there are no game breaking problems. Everything seems to works fine, although I'm sure it's not 100% in all facets.

Just try it out for yourself. It doesn't affect game saves as far as I know.

There is one thing to note, it usually CTDs when you try to load a save from WITHIN the game with IA. If you need to reload, it is safer to quit to the main menu first.

You got me hooked into a mod for a second time.

You're right. I forgot about this problem. It's why I stopped using it, as occasionally I'll reload an autosave if I accidentally send a unit to an unintended tile that ends up costing me, and things of that nature.

I've got a nice little list of about 15 mods put together at this point. It's nothing crazy, but just enough for what I consider essential. Once VP goes "Gold", I'll maybe expand a bit, but for now I like to play as close to vanilla VP as possible (since we're all basically just play testers).

I am in need of statistical indicators in my games because I play 43 games and it becomes hard to keep track of so many Civs. With IA I hope I can easier keep a check on them. I lost one game last week due to missing to notice Ethiopia's science avalanche. Expected the trouble to come from China and completely didn't take notice of Ethiopia. Well, not only to this but anyways I would like to be able to regularly check yields progress of Civs and the curves can help me spot runaway Civs.

@cozye Try changing up your game. Lower difficulty, smaller map size and definitely increase AI players. I always play with tons of AIs and there's a lot of action going on between them. I even make friends sometimes and the game feels much more realistic and interesting.
