I see for the first time in my civ experience my city heavy bombarded by AI artillery.

Jerusalem finishes Academy, but instead of army I decide on prebuild to Internet.
It is crasy, but we have no chence to win this war being republic.
Bismark still don't wanna talk it over.
Ooooouugh, bully.
There are currently about 15 panzers, 5 TOWs, 5 MIs and other stuff in our territory.
We don't have enough arties.
Get MGL. It will be tank army.
German panzer stack is sent into panzer heaven.

Another MGL and dozen of panzers killed.
Kill all germans in our territory.
And even start attacking their cities.

Here I will stop for breaffing.
Coward Bismark is ready to sign peace and even willing to pay 200+ gold for it.

Continue war or sign peace?
We have 1 inf and 3 tank armies.
We probably could get to Salzburg.
Technically if we had oil, we could send Germany into oblivion.
But we can't load armies with tanks and republic is killing us with unhappiness.

This does mainly depend on strategic targets and air superiority. Does Germany have many bombers? If so, do we have enough AA with our offense forces? Do we need oil to win this game? Is there another strategic goal?

There always is: lowering german research capacity to prevent them from starting a space ship.

Locking Spain and Germany in a war would really help our goals. The question is, can we ruin our rep by signing MA with Spain and make peace with Germany after Spain declared?

I have to look at the save for more. My system is back on line, btw, and I'm able to take my turns again. But I'd propably sue for peace now, research what I must to get the final wonders, and then try to make Germany angry enough to go to war again, sign MA with Spain, and fight a war that will make Germany pay greatly, razing as many german cities as possible.
 
On air superiority: Germans have about 15-20 bombers (some were shot down by our AA). We have some (~15) FLAKS and I've built 2 missile batteries, more coming soon, i've played only 2 turns.

But all this is not a problem. We have pretty large number of artillery and we could get to german oil pretty easily gathering our armies with artillery and flaks.

The BIG problem is Republic. If I played this game solo and my goal wasn't cultural victory, I'd switch to Monarchy and Germany would be finished.
As long as we go for 20K, we can't afford government switch.

Pre-Turn: Notice Jerusalem isn’t using its mountain tile. Take it away from Hastings and give it back to Jerusalem. This sheds one turn off the Pentagon.
IT: Renegotiate Lux deal with Spain:
Spain: We get Oil, Ironclads, WM, 94 gpt, and 162 gold; we give Miniaturization
Crap! Forgot to pick up the Dyes in the deal so have several cities riot.

1872 AD: Set slider at 3/6/1. Germany has already completed 5 pieces of the shuttle so we need to prepare for war. Change the majority of the builds to Tanks.
IT: Germany declares on Spain.

1874 AD: Upgrade 19 Infantry to MI.
IT: Jerusalem Pentagon>SS part (pre-build).

1876 AD:
IT: 7 German MI and 1 TOW Infantry enter our territory. Renegotiate deal with Spain:
Spain: We get Dyes; we give Incense and Silks

1878 AD: Set slider at 4/5/1.
IT: The Germans leave our lands. Whew!! :cool:

1880 AD: Set slider at 5/4/1

-Jerusalem is currently building the SS Engine as a pre-build for either Cure of Cancer or Longevity. I believe CoC would benefit us a lot more than Longevity would.
-We need to remove the German threat of a space victory. Either build up an army and dow on them, and/or sabotage their production.

Aw, I completely forgot about that. I slowed Jerusalem production prebuilding for Internet when i noticed germans already got it. And then forgot to give that tile back to Jerusalem.

Probably a good idea, as it appeared this game might have not been finished.

MV, do you have the final save, or the autosave from the turn before? I wouldn't mind looking at it. Also, how close were we to 20k? At the end of my turnset I believe the 20k date was 1972 if I remember correctly.

Also, any highlights during those 40 turns? Did you dow on Germany?

3. We built both Longevity and Cure for Cancer. Germans destroyed half the Spanish cities at the end.

I looked at the summary and saw Germans got 4 or 5 leaders. WE got 5 in a span of 7 or so turns. Spanish got one. And America got one.

ANALYSIS- We missed some key wonders, ie Temple of Artimis, Newtons, and Hanging Gardens. Germany got WAY too powerful and we weren't advanced in the beginning.
