de Havilland Mosquito

have you some links for pics? than perhaps i will start working on it

Well geez, in that case we also ought to have night versions of the Lancaster (rather than the plain vanilla bomber skin) and the Beaufighter as well!

Hey, how about this for an odd duck -- the Black Widow? I wonder if Gaius Octavius would want that for his WWII Pacific Theater scenario...

@ Ambreville

i´m not keen in skinning other peoples work (and also not good in it ;) ). So a sorry no to the bomber and the beaufighter.

But if there are good pictures the mosquito will got a night skin and even a black widow model is possible (i liked this plane, but didn´t remembered it, but now it on my to do list again [i don´t know why, but even i did some models this list gets longer and longer :crazyeye:])

The B-25 would be more useful, if dutchking would ever reupload his old units (or has he already?)

The B-25 is already completed. Dutchking simply has not reuploaded his units after the hacking (last I heard, anyway).

[Goes to check]

Nope, not there. :(

Early versions had longwave radar that required drag-inducing external aerials to be used. Later on, they were equipped with the more aerodynamic (and effective) centimetric and millimetric radar, which are present in the last three pictures. The Germans never got past the centimetric radar, or the need for aerials.

I have honestly never even heard of the Black Widow, except perhaps in passing. :p

You are a master at not answering questions. I'll answer it for you then -- "NO".

FYI the Black Widow was used in the Pacific Theater as the first purpose-designed night fighter, as opposed to other nations' process of retrofitting obsolete aircraft (Defiant, Bf.110, Blenheim for example), or aircraft initially designed for another mission (Mosquito, He-219, Beaufighter, etc) to the night fighter role. It entered service in 1944.

It's just a cool aircraft.

I thought I did answer it?  Don't take it personally -- I don't use the U.S.S. Arizona graphic in my mod either, since I have this thing against adding unnecessary units. It would be great if the timeframe were larger but it just doesn't work well in the current setup. :) This does not mean that these wouldn't be great units to make, however.

nighfighter skin (black)

again just a reuse of the old texture, hopes it is enough as night fighter version (until i have the time to make a new nose)

I don't blame you... it needs serious reworking anyways... like the Warspite/QE did.

Coyote... great job... keep up the good work!
