deficit research bug

just had an opportunity and I chose the 3 barbarian brutes, now my gold is at 0 and income at -1.

last turn I had 20 science per turn ( 12 for free, 9 from cities, why it's robbing me of 1 science I have no idea ) , as soon as I start researching with 1 gold deficit per turn I only get 12 science per turn instead of 19/20 .
