Deity Challenge 6 - Polynesia, Archipelago

Sorry for the semi-necropost. I haven't tried a Deity game yet and I figured that an archipelago map would be the smoothest transition from the Immortal level to the Deity one. I also haven't played an archipelago map before(or anything involving naval conquests), so I was looking for some general tips on my current game status.

Currently, I've taken out two capitals(sold Rome to Napoleon) and I have a navy of 3 admirals, 12 Frigates(with 3 more to soon be completed) and 6 Privateers. I took out Rome and England first because they were both hostile to me and I wanted England out of the game before their SoTL's really got going. My issue is that I don't know where to go next. I want to attack Napoleon because he's running away with the game and he had cannons 20 turns ago, so I want to take him out before artillery comes into play. But I'm getting 6 iron from him right now and that would put me into negative iron resources unless I can find someone else to sell me iron. I also want to to attack either Mongolia, Greece or the Huns, but Mongolia is also giving me 4 iron. Russia is out of the question right now since I have a DoF with her. I was planning to split my navy into two fleets to attack simultaneously, but I'm thinking I might need everything to stand a chance against Napoleon.

Oh, and my economy is atrocious. The only reason that I'm at +2 gold per turn right now is because I got 40 GPT from England as part of the peace deal.

This is also my second attempt at this map since Rome settled by the faith wonder on turn 39 due to stupid play on my part, so I restarted because I wanted that spot(even though religion isn't really doing much for me right now).

havent started this map, but is aquiring a CS for iron out of question?

Apart that I d just attack the closest ones to your frigates .. if its france with iron stop producing more ships in your cities so u get the 3 iron back and attack his iron city (big change that its cap anyway?) - u can still finish them ones the iron city is yours.

Another point others made is that after taking out like 3 civs most of your frigates should have 3 range promo and then arties doesnt help defend at all (nothing does help then) - so my advice - take some iron city :)

The last time I checked(which was a long time ago), none of the CS's had any iron. I doubt that would have changed since they all had the IW technology. I have a couple 3 range frigates right now, so they will definitely help a lot. I just don't know if I should attack Napoleon with my whole navy or only 8 frigates and 3 privateers. I feel like I might need all my ships, but then the game might drag on too long for frigates to still be effective.

EDIT: I played some more and DoWed Attila and Genghis, but I gave up because then Catherine and Napoleon DoWed me in return. I simply don't have the army to deal with all of them at once like that.
