Deity please! #2

^^ :( You know why that happened though, right? Deity barbs start cross borders about turn 40, BUT they can enter your borders ANY turn if there is improvement on borders. The only way to avoid this, have warrior fogbusting that direction. Just a bad luck.

He actually came in to kill my poor worker. I'm quite delighted with it, I wonder has anybody ever lost a game of civ faster than this?

I'll probably have another go at the map later, only this time my warrior will go NW instead of E.

Well, I'm still alive.

Spoiler :

I feel very lost. Normally I would have a pretty clear plan on Immortal, but on Deity (and this is my first game that has lasted this long) I feel completely out of my comfort zone and baffled by the pace of things. I was as conservative as possible with Lib, since Darius has Nationalism already and I figured it would be silly to miss a shot at the Taj when I'm IND with Marble. Not sure if this was a bad read. I really don't know what i'm doing...:crazyeye:

The inevitable gift cities have appeased Zara and Winston, who are the main threats with Monty unbelievably backward after a long war with Zara. I should be able to take those cities right back with Sistine culture push if that's what I want to do. If this was Immortal I'd be thinking Cuirassiers right about now. I think I need to do some scouting and see if there is anybody I could feasibly attack. I sort of feel that if I don't commit to a plan yesterday it will be too late to do anything, but I have no idea what might work on Deity.:twitch:

Rather than triple post I'll just add more here:

Spoiler :
Well, I think I've played this is far as I can. I attacked Lincoln with Cuirassiers and Cavalry and took four cities...but he won't capitulate. I'm stretched to the limit, AP defiance unhappiness is killing me. Four cities just ain't going to cut it as the other AIs are now blazing ahead in tech, so the situation looks hopeless.

It's been interesting to actually play some Deity, though, rather than just dying arbitrarily at the start. Very educational. The pace of everything will take some getting used to.
