Deja Vu: Civ 4 onle playing Colonization

Hello, I'm a new user. LOng time Civ fan, first time thread(er?)

I have read the forums on the issues with windows vista and Civilization Complete only playing Colonization (which in my personal opinion, is terrible because you have an annoying king always asking for money.) However, I still can't fix it. I read one thread stating that it is under a "user name" as a hidden file. I'm currently technologically slow, and don't know how to access those hidden files. Also, I would also like to find out if that is the best way of doing it. thanks!

If the Civ 4 it is not installed in your Program Files folder, you may find it installed under the "<Logon Name>\AppData\Roaming\... folder where <Logon Name> is your logon name to that PC. This is a hidden folder so you will have to set explorer to show hidden files and folders before you can see it.

To show hidden folders in Vista:

Start Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer)
Select Tool>Folder Options from the menu
Select the View tab
Check show hidden files and folders
Apply

You should now be able to browse the folders or use search to find where civ 4 is installed.

Once you have found the .exe files for the game just right click on each in turn and choose Send to > Desktop (create shortcut) from the menu.
