Huge Sid Domination with France is finished in 1976
Played out on an 80% Archipelgo with an arid, temperate,
No Huts, science leaders turned off and the Aztecs, Zulus, Mongols, Arabs, Eygyptians, Celts, China and Japan as opponents.
Joan has an Island to herself but no luxuries, the great library is build and the only early contact is the Chinese, through sea tiles, eventually contacts with Eygypt, Celts, Japan and the Aztecs (because they hold the great lightouse are made)
The great library yields to gunpowder and the muskets are into play, the good news is an early leader through fights on Chinese Islands which are taken, the bad news is a steal fails and I am stuck without Astronomy for some time.
A bridgehead is established on Chinas mainland and slowly the Chinese are banished and Astronomy is acheived.
The tech hole is deep, the army even on Monarch is expensive, printing press is researched, allowing banking and chemistry through deals, and Aztec Island is put to the sword and eventually magnetism and cavalry are discovered through a mix of steals, deals and research.
The Aztecs are running away with culture as the industrial age is reached, Eygypt is Mr Big as far as tech is concerned, both need bringing down a peg.
Steam is stole, no one has medecine, a loan scientist is set away
A long ship chained of Galleons is sent to Aztec Lands and a shorter one to Eygypt,
As a landing on the Eygyptian/Celtic Isle is made (war between the two has reduced there unit support) and they dont seem to like each other, an attempted bridge is made to establish a bridgehead, but the Eygyptians have infantry, the town is destroyed though by the army and the bridgehead is established in Celto-Eygypt and after a long period the Aztecland City is destroyed and the bridgehead estalished. A few surrounding cities and towns are destroyed and on Aztecland a few towns established but this is slow and medecine is discovered.
Peace with Eygypt is established but no electro deal is possible, a steal is attempted and fails and over 3K is thus flushed down the drain, steals elsewhere have given me indust and nationilism, but no one else has the stuff that keeps the light on at night.
The war with the Aztecs goes on as dishertened by my steal attempt I pump reseearch into electricity, I note the Aztecs have Electric so I make a temporary peace, with electricity as part of the deal, time for scientific method to be researched at full speed (around 10 turns), in the meantime the Ancient Arabs are put to the sword.
Empty space is filled in Aztec lands and Scientific Method duly gives me Corporation by trade and Refining and Replacable Parts
War is re-established with Eygypt but this is much a phony war to peg them back and pillage their lands, the Celts help so they weaken each other
When Aztec war is reestablishe a longer front is managed by Infantry and Artillary, the interturns seem to take an etternity
At some point the Chinese land a force that cannot be dealt with immediately and reluctantly peace is established
Slowly the Aztec mainland is taken (but not before Aztec infantry arrive), so I have to send an Army to their rubber island, (over 800 aztecs are left in my territory (I try a few things to reduce them including a walled town on a hill with twenty infantry but it falls), I leave them cooped up for now as I take their rubber Island
I am dealing now with the celt/eygpty island declaring on celts and then making peace with eygypt when I am ready to strike into Celtiic Heartland, (not too early as I do not want eygypt to take my celtic cities, the celts are destoyed and with it the peace with Eygypt falls, unfotunately this blows my rep, Eygypt is defeated on there mainland and I creep towards the domination limit, I discover flight and bombers and the Aztec give an Island city for peace, as I creep towards domination my citizens are behind territory, I take a Chinese city which triggers the Japanese to declare on me, two luxuries lost, culture rushed, celts added to cities and finally the limits are reached in 1976.
