I suppose this is a technical support question, so here goes...

I recently downloaded the Civ IV demo actually expecting it not to work, but why not give it a try? To my surprise, it worked fine, even though I believe my laptop doesn't meet the minimum requirements.

My question is, if the demo worked fine on my system, will the full game also work as well? I thought I heard that companies make the demo min specs lower to attract unsuspecting buyers with lousy computers to buy a game that won't work for them.

Here's the specs:

Dell Inspiron 2200 Laptop
Intel Pentium M Processor 1.50 GHz
792 MHz, 504 MB of RAM
24.6 GB total hard drive space

Your RAM could be a issue later in the game. The demo is locked to 100 turns on a standard sized map. No big deal for the amount of RAM you have. The full game can go a bazillion turns on a humongous map. Some people have issues with lag later in the game, especially on the really big maps with more than 8 civs playing.

Oddly enough, I only have 512MB of RAM myself and it isn't an issue for me. I'd say go for it. At the very least, you'd have a pretty good reason to get more RAM.
