Department of Geeks & Numbers

Just thought of something: now that we'll be building military actively, shouldn't we include the strong/average/weak status vs the other teams, so we can guesstimate the amount of troops they've got when we go from weak to strong by building GS?

That sounds like a terrific idea, BEF! :goodjob:

:hmm: According to some War Academy article the military advisor bases his thoughts on offensive power, so if TNT is really rushing D'nuts we can tell if they're strong (maybe it's already obvious one way or the other) due to the 4 attack immortal.
It's (total attack strength)*1.5 + (total defence strenght). I don't know why speed hasn't got something to do with this.

So an Immortal is 4*1.5+2=8, while a MW is only 3*1.5+1=5.5 (and GS being 6.5).

Therefore 11 Immortals are as strong as 16 MW's.

Here's the geeky stuff from turn 52:
Score
Celts: 214
Persians: 204
Geeeks: 180
Iros: 172
Pop = 27% TNT = 28%
Area = 4% TNT = 3%

TNT is gaining power but I suspect that is mostly due to heavy military and maybe a won battle (Nuts are declining).

Here's the numbers. The current Score is:
K.I.S.S. 226
TNT 212
MIA 187
Donut 179

OK I'm not too tired this morning and had t download the last 13 saves but I'll be back soon and hopefully the internet connection will last that long....

EDIT::: here is the score graph for the past few turns. I expect our score will not increase as much next turn since we got out a settler and 2 workers last turn. but that's ok.

Here is the F11 spreadsheet. After Bugsy's turn, we have 8 workers and 7 cities. We'll have another city in a turn or two, but Dunderhead is currently vomitting workers all over the place every other turn. :cool:

TNT doesn't seem to be growing at all. They are the only civ that doesn't have an efficient settler factory (in the capital).

I hope this satisfies your need for geeky stuff Dag. Sorry for the hiatus.... I'm hating it more than you I assure you. It seems as though the phone line is fixed, so I hopefully will be online a bit more although I slept 10 hours yesterday. I had ben only sleeping 6 hours a day. Monday night I'll be online quite a bit if I'm not hanging out with AK. or playing civ4 with black terrain. :rolleyes: I am getting used to the black terrain. I'm hoping that my home computer doesn't have this problem. Good thing that I pay attention to details ;). OK off to wrap things up and head to bed.....nite nite guys and gal.

Perfect is the word indeed :thumbsup:

:banana: I can't wait for our red headed meanies!

Well here is the info from turn 55. I'd assume that TNT is beating us in shields since they have 30% of the worlds pop. (we have 27% & 5% of world area <MIA has 3%>) MIA is also building the pyramids....Have we asked them about this? Workers gallore. 9 for 8 cities I believe. We are starting to get our core improved and in a turn or two Ignoramus will start making warriors. ~7 more turns until iron is connected to our road network :woohoo:

We are kicking butt :D Off to bed

:cooool: Things are looking good indeed.

It's just amazing how much better MMing we're doing than the other team :lol: . I expected them, with lots of time inbetween turns to perfectly MM like us, but hill mining :lol: . I'd bet five bucks any old team would have mined the cow, irrigated the wheat, mined all the BG's and roaded everything. But Bede's intelligents showed us we only needed roads for a 4 turn settler factory :cooool: .

I'm still confused about Literacy. :crazyeye:

Own, you're right. We were the first to have a 4-turn-SF. Just be careful with words like "old" here. Not all KISSers are 16 ;)
