This is a citizens group supported by the trade department, I would like to ask, or know where I can find, information on our total income and where it's coming from, total expenses and where it's coming from, then our total strategic supplies and how much of it is imported exported. (I'm to make a economic stats site)

Yes, the Trade Depart is looking into the trade of Sanitation and Atmoic Theory to several nations. However, we are building Hoover, of which the needed tech is one away from Atomic Theory. (11 turns from completion). Electricity may take 8 turns to research, and if another nation gets a Great Leader (remember, there are wars going on), that will ruin our chances of getting Hoover. We do have several elite Immortals that can possible get us a Great Leader.

I do not like the idea of trading Atomic Theory until Hoover will be done in 5 turns or so. The risk may be small, but should we lose that wonder race, it would be a great loss. I think we should be content with trading sanitation for now. We do not have a shortage of funds to warrant such a risky trade.

If we do trade sanitation I'd suggest we try to get those Indian silk imports flowing again!

I just checked and India will trade the silks to us for just Sanitation. All you have to do is ask what he'll trade the silks for and then take away AT.
But it would be foolish to trade Ghandi Sanitation at this point as he has more pop 12 cities ready to grow than we do. We should wait until we really need the silks before allowing India to spur its growth.

I'm also against trading Sanitation, ever. It would give away more power than we could get back, IMHO.

I am for trading Atomic Theory to get the ridiculous gpts in return. It is not the tech that grants the Hoover, Electronics is. If not traded until we get Hoover, I would be also for trading it after we build it.

I think eyrei said he'd be for selling atomic theory once we get within 5 turns of completeing Hoover.

Personally, I wouldn't mind selling it now if we can make a killing on it similar to selling medicine. We're 11 turns from completeing Hoover and PDX is growing with more mountains being mined and railroaded. The other countries will still have to learn electronics and then beat the head start we have on Hoover. Didn't we quash the cascades? And Hoover must be built on a river so that limits where any other country can build Hoover. I don't see any way (short of a leader) that they could beat us to Hoover.

The only nations who can't built Hoover are China and Greece (unless they recapture their former capital)
